I cleaned the pickup roller, took out the paper, turned off the machine etc, etc, but no luck!
Is the problem a defective pickup roller. Can it be changed by me?
Please help

MY FAX MACHINE CAN NOT RECEIVE FAX FROM OTHER, THE DISPLAY IS FAX MEMORY FULL, HOW TO SOLVE?

This means that your fax is only storing into its internal memory and not printing all incoming faxes, therefore it has no more space for more incoming documents, you should print the documents and maybe you'll need to clear the memory, depending on fax machine, this is done automatically when the documents are printed, and of course, set the incoming faxes to print not to store, this feature is supposed to be used only when the fax has no paper to print.

Incoming faxes do not print, fax report reads 'power fail' and diplay reads 'low memory' - Can you help?

First, does the machine print normally from a computer or when making copies?
If so, then most probably you have enabled a private receive fax mode. In this mode, faxes are not printed immediately upon receipt (to prevent unauthorized people to read them), but are stored in memory, waiting for an authorized person to come and print them, providing a PIN (password).
To print the faxes stored in memory, do the following:
- press FaxMenu
- using arrow buttons select "receive"
- press OK
- using arrow buttons select "print faxes"
- press OK
- using the alphanumeric keypad enter the PIN/password and press OK
THe previously received faxes should print..
SOmeone must have turned this option on, so ask that person what he/she entered as the PIN.

Fax can do copies and send but not able to receive incoming faxes. Did several tests. Modem picks up but doesn't transmit data. LCD screen does not indicate any trouble or alarm.

It's possible that somehow the incoming faxes are going directly to memory and not printing. If there was a Tx issue, you'd get an error message on the LCD screen or a printed out message. Not knowing what kind of machine you have, I can't give you instructions to print from memory but if you check your manual, you should see instructions to both print from memory and set the fax to print automatically.

Incoming faxes from multiple locations jamming our machine

I believe there should be a "Clear memory", or "dump fax Memory", in the menu selection.
Press reports and scroll to machine print out. You should get a print out on the machines configuration and help menu to better assist you.
This should dump the memory so you can prepare yourself for new incoming faxex.

Not recieving only in memory

My good friend:

The only reason why your unit stops printin faxes is because the toner cartridge is nearly empty. Th e unit will then try to conserve the remaining toner for printing and copying. Follow this steps to program the unit to print all faxes, even with toner low:

When the toner cartridge is nearly empty, the machine shows
the “[Toner Empty]” message and continues printing except
incoming faxes. In this case, incoming faxes are saved in
memory.
However, you can set the machine to print incoming faxes, even
though print quality is not optimal.
1 Press Menu until “Machine Setup” appears on the display.
2 Press the scroll button ( or ) until “Ignore Toner”
appears on the bottom line and press Enter.
3 Press the Scroll button ( or ) to select “On” or “Off”.
Select “On” to ignore the [Toner Empty] message.
Select “Off” to stop printing incoming faxes when the
message appears. This is the default setting.
4 Press Enter to save the selection.
5 To return to Standby mode, press Stop/Clear.

Be blessed

Need to clear the memory of Brother MFC-8220 fax

The easy way to reset the machine is to power it off for a period of time. Say overnight will allow the battery back up on the board to run out and the machine to loose its memory.

Cancelling Incoming Faxes in Memory

see manual (can be download from homepage www.brother.com). If you are a victim of spam faxes you better buy a new mfc with a pc-fax-incoming-transmission function (e.g. mfc 440cn etc.) This will give you the opportunity to have a look at the faxes on the screen first and then to decide which one should be printed.
