Unscrew the screws on the back and open the chass. then draw a map about the connections where those power cables went into inside the chass. then unplug all the power connections and unscrew the screws on the back which fasten the power supply to the chass. remove other components if necessary to alow space for the power to come out. then replace the power and anything else in reverse order and reconnect the power cables according to the map.

Laptop will not power on

Shutdown the laptop
Unplug the power supply
Remove the battery
Plugin the power supply
Turn it on
If it works then the battery is shot and needs to be replaced
Still doesn't come on replace the power supply
If you replaced the power supply and it still doesn't turn on, then the you'll need to get it service as the motherboard would have to be replaced.

Power supply replacment

You should be able to replace the power supply. It is usually held in place by 4-6 screws. Unplug the cables on the motherboard and drives. Reconnect the new ones and away you go. A generic supply will be fine if it is of the correct physical size. Bring the old one with you when you go to get the new one.
