About my Pioneer CDJ-800

My turn table is getting power, but nothing is being displayed on the track selection screen. I know its not the ribbon seeing how I switched the ribbon out with one that worked to figure out it it had a short. Also the 1.6 fuse isn't blown either seeing how I switch that part out also. So any idea's of which part I would need to replace to get my cdj up and running again?

SOURCE: CDJ 800 Has no power

this guy don't know what he is talking about, the cdj800 does have a fuse,if you open the unit up just make sure it's unpluged,if the fuse is blown replace it with one of the same rating,it's right next to the switch inside the unit,it's very easy to take apart just 5 screws,I have one that won't power on also but it's not the fuse, but yours could be,just check it out and don't be afraid just be careful when handling electronics so that you don't send static charges into the chips.

SOURCE: pioneer cdj 800 problem

More than likely you have a damaged CD transport, or needs to be calibrated or professionally cleaned. I would suggest taking it to a service center.

SOURCE: replacing cdj cue buttons

Not hard at all. Just have to open her up. I would suggest purchasing the service manual, which has instructions on doing this and useful for other repairs, as well as parts list, and parts diagrams.

SOURCE: Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

SOURCE: Pioneer CDJ-800 Vinyl Mode Broken

Same thing here too. The Vinyl mode stops the player and when I press it out of Vinyl mode, it works fine. What is causing this problem? I took it apart and cleaned the insides, which were gross, I think someone spilled something on it. :-(
Still, I cleaned the track and put it together and still it doesn't work? Might be time to take it to the shop.

LCD Display!!!!!!!!

More than likely the ribbon cable is bad - unless there is damage to the LCD PC Board. Any knowledgeable repair shop should be able to replace this very easily.

My LCD Display

Well, one of 2 things may have gone bad...

1) Ribbon Cable
2) LCD PC Board

The first is easily fixed. The second, is not. As for service centers, I suggest you contact Pioneer - www.pioneerelectronics.com

I can't see the digital readout

There may have a been a slight power surge which fried either a resistor or IC inside the unit. This is NOT a self repair, and you will have to get it serviced by a professional service center.

Good Luck.

Power

You need to check internally, Transformer/rectifier could be bad, disconnected wire, blown internal fuse. Can you rub the needle with your finger and get sound? Is it just the table not turning or is the needle not getting "power" either?

No power

You probably have a bad transformer. This is not an easy fix. You will need to contact a service professional for assistance.
