I have it for less than a year. last night I was performing at this place, and just before i started, the speaker just stopped working and it wont turn on again. when I came to touch it to see if it was hot, it wasnt hot at all, and it had no reason to over heat because I was just in coctail music. today morning I opened the speaker up and removed the amp, but I do not know which part to replace. anyone knows? thanks.
1) try a different power cord.if that doesn't work, unplug it for steps 2&3.
2) if you have a multimeter, check the switch to make sure that it's good.3) you should find a fuse on a circuit board if you have the amp opened, check it.If none of these work, send me a good, clear pics of the boards in the amp section. I'll try to ID everything for you. Those are workhorse speakers, well worth fixing.
SOURCE: How do I replace the blue led in my Mackie SRM450V2?
if its the blue front light you are talking about it is a fiddly but simple fix.
1 phone mackie and order an l.e.d. about £2
2 when it arrives take out the woofer and carefully lay to the side.
3 use a very small philips screwdriver, a tiny bit of blue tack, a mirror and a torch to remove the screw holding the small circuit board with the l.e.d.in place (the blue tack is to put on the tip of the screwdriver to hold the screw and the mirror and torch is so that you can see it)
4 remove the small circuit board and un-solder the l.e.d from it take note of the orientation of the contacts as they only work one way round) and resolder the new one in place.
5 check that it works and re-fit the board and screw ( this can take 2 seconds or 2 hours depending on how lucky you are and how sticky the blue tack is.
6 re-fit the woofer and grill
