Lines in right side of screen

When cold, the right half of the screen has lines in it, and that half is stretched vertically, showing two images of that half. The left half is normal.

  • Anonymous Mar 02, 2012

The stretching on the right half is actually taking place throughout the picture, but is nearly invisible on the left side, then becomes more visible as you move to the right. There is a "normal" image, with a second, stretched image below it. The stretched image is not inverted and appears to be twice the height of the "good" image. The set comes out of this after half an hour or so of running.

You have a board connected on the side and another on top.. the board controls your horisontal lines and your side board controls your vertical.. Afte using the television for some time the board gets very hot and the solder gets damaged. You get what is called cold solder preventing the electrical current to pass. You need to retouch with solder but do it carefully. its best if you know some one with soldering experience. That will solve your problem. you can get more details at www.bestdirectorysolutions.com

How to fix Multi color Vertical Lines on a Vizio E470i-AO TV

Does the menu function display the same lines? What kind of cables are using ? (HDMI, Component vid, S-video, co-ax)
Were you as tenacious checking all cables/connections as you were the electronics? Lets rule out this all too often over-looked possibility.
Do you still get the lines with nothing connected to the TV? (no source connected)

My LCD TV has a vertical line on the right side of the screen. What causes that?

I hate to give you bad news but I believe this will be a panel issue and it's not going to be fixable. You can try a different tcon board but I don't think it will help

Any advice on what board I should replace if the left half of the screen is no good, just showing white and black vertical bars? Right half is fine. Is the panel kaput?

My led samsung tv has a horizontal line and the upper right corner shows a white vertical lines

Not good. You may have a tab failure. A repair shop may be able to diagnose and repair this, but most likely the lcd panel is broken. The panel is the most expensive part of flat tv's. A new panel will cost more than a used tv.

Nec plasmasync 4200w 3 vertical lines one yellow two purple

Sorry to tell you, it is not a scratch, but a bad cable connection from the driver IC's, connecting up the plasma screen to the drive board, or the drive IC for that section of the screen is defective. It is not a repair a user can do as there are no user replaceable parts inside this set. Your going to have to call NEC or an experienced Plasma repair shop.
