The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
You still can use easy share. (I still have it) The share button, you use on the camera, to mark a picture you want to share. With the button, you tag the picture, you then later can share in the Kodak community. Not sure that still exists Check out on http://kodak.photonet.com

I?ll be fine. All your original pictures are on the C drive. Unless you have changed the directory onto which you save when transferring: You can find the pictures under C-Drive, my pictures. The camera might need to be recharged. The camera doesn't charge from the computer while transferring pics. You will need to switch the camera off before the camera will start charging.
The Kodak Easyshare software just index the pictures they do not store them at all you can locate the pictures on the computer by
Click start then look for search type in in the search box *jpg And it will display all the pictures that you have on your computer
To fix the problem regarding the easyshare software try uninstall it from your computer Then download the clear utility www.kodak.com/go/clear then download the latest version of the easyshare software www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw
skip the whole process and buy a sd memory card reader-it's plug and play- no software and will save your batterys when you download-they work great and bypass the issues your having-plug into usb port and will download to xp or vista
