Camera wont turn on

Sounds like you need to recharge or replace the battery. If the voltage is too low for the internal processor it will just turn right off again to save any remaining power.

Never leave battery in the camera, it gives out fumes that can ruin electronic circuits. You may have to replace the motherboard.

remove batteries. try and turn camera on, of course it wont work without batteries but this may clear any capacitors.now fit new batteries or just refit the old if you know they are good. and try again, does it work now?

if the camera wont turn on remove the memory card and make sure your pictures are transfered. Try using regular disposable batteries. Also when trying to turn it on try holding down the power button for 5 seconds. If it still doesnt turn on coud be a broken switch connection.

checkout the battery and the charger.. if there is still problem then contact ur help desk

Try cleaning the battery contacts inside the camera with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. If the sticky coke got inside the camera, it will only get worse as the phosphoric acid does more damage.

If yours is two years old then you are probably out-of-luck.  It would probably cost more to repair than to simply replace.  As a work-around, try removing the batteries after use.

the same thing happend to me just now... you have to wiggle the lens untill it goes into place then it should retract when you turn it on. :]

try a different battery - how old is the camera - the voltage may be too low, hence it turns off.

I have the same problem, but my display doesn't show anything. It is just black.
