I have replaced new drum and cleaning plate and toner it give good copy but when i copy with ADF it gave bad copy and return error message platine glass dirty clean platine glass . i cleaned all glasses i need to know where is platine glass excactly
The cover plate is above the glass white surface of the scanner. If this is the same dirty stains will come out on copies.
The glass must be clean.
By feeding the original documents through the ADF, the scanner lamp is no longer the path to scan, the ADF is responsible for passing the original document over the scanner, while it remains still placed on the side under a thin glass is to a large glass side. This also must be clean, otherwise you will be black lines on each point or spot on the glass.

You will need either the Canon PCL printer kit J1 or J2 if you want it to print (unless it's already fitted). If the copier is an IR2016J then it cannot be upgraded to a printer.

Workaround :
This error code is the indication of the waste toner container being full or a problem with the detection mechanism. Actions to be taken are:1. Turn the machine off and check the waste toner container. If the container is full, empty the container. Clean the inside and outside of the container's neck with alcohol. Be sure that the neck is clear and not soiled with toner before placing it back into the machine. Turn the machine on and check to see if the code went away.
2. If the container isempty and the code is still displayed, check the neck of the container. Turn the machine off and check the container,if the neck is dirty, clean the inside and outside with alcohol before placing it back into the machine. Turn the machine on and check to see if the code went away.
3. If the machine still displays the code after the bottle is emptied and the neck clean; check the sensor, the sensor connections to and from the DC controller PCB for continuity, and the proper positioning of the sensor. Replace the sensor if it is damaged or excessively soiled with toner.

If you are getting this message when running copies it simply means that you need to clean the glass. If you have cleaned the glass and are still getting this message you may need to very carefully remove the glass and clean the bottom side of it. Also some copiers have a very narrow glass near the main platen glass that will have to be cleaned also.

Hi, the waste toner is located inside drum unit.
When you open the front cover and left sideway door, realese blue handle, and pull out the drum unit ( may be little dificult to pull out - but pull harder ).
On the top of drum unit there is cork, remove it and vacume the waste toner out.
Put it back and it will work.
