Open the front and right covers and remove the toner bottle holder unit.
Pull out the Photoconductor unit(PCU) with your thumb pressing on the latch on the left side of the PCU.
Separate the top part from(drum) the bottom part(developer unit), by removing the front piece 1 screw and rear piece 2 screws and 1 coupling(pull out).
Now remove 1 front screw, 2 rear screws and other 2 top rear screws to separate the top and bottom parts of the dev. unit.
Then place your finger under the front-side and rear-side flaps and push out so that the flaps pops off the peg.
Set the coupling removed, back to the shaft and turn the coupling to remove the developer from the roller.
Turn upside down the lower part of the dev. unit to remove all the developer by turning its gears.
Load new developer evenly in the openings of the lower dev. unit and pay attention not to spill developer on the gears.
Reassemble the whole PCU properly.
Reinstall back the PCU and toner unit and close the front and right covers.
Switch on the machine, enter SP mode- Clear key, 107, hold and press Stop key.
Enter SP 2-214 and execute to reinitialize the TD sensor.
Switch off and on the machine.

Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

We have Ricoh Aficio 1018 , machine functions , gives print without the matter printed

Sounds like a bad photoconductor unit (PCU), or problem with the transfer roller which is mouned inside the right side door. The PCU consists of 2 main sections; the development unit, with developer ang mag roll (on the bottom) and drum, with charge roller and cleaning blade (on the top). If the gears that turn the mag roll go bad, toner will not be applied to the charged drum. If the transfer roller is missing or not being charged the image will not be transferred to the paper. Check the connector from the copier to the right side door and the leaf springs that carry the charge from that wire and contact the transfer roller.

Functional problem sc 390 on ricoh photocopier, despite replacing drum, developer, blade, gears. after removing 9 copies it reads functional problem.

SC 390 on an Aficio 1018 will most likely be a bad TD (toner density) sensor, if you've already replaced the drum and developer. (One thing to check quickly though is to pull the PCU out and reinstall it, just to make sure that connection isn't the problem.)

You can either replace the TD sensor by itself, or replace the DV unit (which probably won't be much more expensive). But either way, you'll need to install new developer when you replace the parts.

Sc 500 como resolver

That means main motor malfunction, but i am positive that you have to change at least LOWER DEVELOPMENT UNIT plus 2 gears (...3060 and ...3062). The problem is that your PCU (photoconductor unit) is blocked. Please call service for help

Your laser mirror motor has gone bad. You will need to have it replaced. The part number is G0291961 and they are around $125.00.

It sounds like the developer needs to be changed. Call a technician. This is something that you cannot do.

Error code sc500

Your main motor is hard to turn.. Check your Drum unit. Pull it out then on the back side you'll find a small agitator gear then tried to turn it. If it doesn't rotate then you might have to change its paddle gears, idle gear or that development sleeve is stuck. Hope it helps.

How do i set aficio 1035 to factory default

SC352 Indicates ID Sensor/Pattern edge detect Error 3. If its a color machine, then it's a Magenta TD ensor failure.

Usually If you need to change the developer roller you should change the developer as well. Once that is done, then you go into service mode and calibrate the developer and initialize the TD sensor.

Did you change the developer?

Grayish prints

Try cleaning the optics and scan lamp.Use normal glass cleaner
clean the underneath the copier glass.
If the problem is still there the developer probably need a change.
