I want to downgrade the OS version Windows 7 starter to Windows Xp professional in my latest purchase of Sony Vaio VPCYB35AN ultraportable laptop. I dont mind about license details and all. can any one give solution.
You need to purchase a new XP professional copy of the software from Sony.
Here is the details on how to download from a Vista system to XP.
You should follow the same route

you need to boot computer rom the XP CD as its loading you will see it looking for any windows installations. When it finds it use the option to delete partition after this it will tell you to format and install is just as usual after that.

I have checked the information on the Sony website. According to the furnished model, it appears that it is either an asia pacific or the middle eastern model. according to the information available on the website of both the regions, the Windows XP Operating System is not supported by the computer. Whereas, the Windows 7 Ultimate Operating System is supported by the computer and the drivers are available for the same online. You can download and install the dirvers and software from the below website:

However, I suggest that you first create the recovery discs for the computer using the VAIO Care Software before upgrading the operating system.

You will have to go to the HP site and download drivers for the XP O/S.
They don't come standard in XP.
You actually would have more luck upgrading to Windows 7, which is a decent program

We are already tried what you have said but this model not accepting the windows xp bootable CD and iam not getting drivers in the website.
The laptop cannot 'decide' to not accept your bootable XP CD. Are you using an original XP disc, or some copy someone gave you? The only reason it wouldn't boot your CD is if you have a BAD disc, something wrong with your DVD drive, or if your boot drive settings do not have the DVD drive enabled to boot from in the BIOS.
Regrading the XP drivers. If the manufacturer (Sony) does not have XP drivers listed, then you have to go the the Chipset manufacturer for your laptop motherboard and get the drivers from them. You will need the following drivers:
Chipset, VGA, Audio, LAN, WIFI... and any other features your laptop supports including maybe: Memory Card reader, PCMCIA Cardbus slot, Bluetooth, Firewire etc.
To get you started, your Video is an ATI Radeon HD 6230. You can download the Windows XP Catalyst drivers from the AMD website.
Good luck.
