I installed a new 17 series single handle with temperature control unit several monthsa ago during a complete shower rebuild. No that I am ready to fire up the water, I can't get the water from from...

Remove handle and check temperature adjustment it maybe out. Remove handle and slide little adjustment gear out and move it a 1/4 turn and reinstall it to see if any difference occurs. If it is not set right you want be able to turn water off and possibly cartridge maybe be bad. With it being brand new and it should work out of the box take it back if no simple fixes will work. You want the best and not have to work on something you just bought anyway. Something may have been left off the cartridge maybe seat bad or o ring.

Adjusting the scauld guard on a shower mixer valve

Uue a 1/8" allen wrench to remove handle to access the dial that set's the mixture of water.Remember or mark where it is and remove and reinsert counter clockwise about a 1/4 turn to start to you reach desired temperature setting. Be careful not to set it at a hot enough setting to burn you.
Once dial in place slide handle on and turn on to check water temperature.

Hansgrohe 06358620 shower not hot enough

Remove the handle by loosening the screw near the bottom. You should see a plastic ring, probably green, that is the hot water safety. Adjust it so that the handle will turn further for more hot water. It most likely pulls out, then turn it left, reinsert and reattach the handle.

The thermostatic stop is set too low. Havent set a grohe before but most other thermostatic shower valves work similar. pull off the handle(however a grohe handle comes off . . ) there should be a notched ring or stop which keeps the handle from going all the way hot. pull out the ring and turn it a few teeth hotter put back and reinstall handle try water temp and adjust again if necessary.

My hot water in the shower is not as hot as from the sink right next to it. I know you can adjust the flow of hot and cold in a single faucet arrangement and open the shower handle and see two brass or...

Looking in at the screws from the shower side, first, check to see if you can feel any threads sticking out from either adjuster. Try to set them the same. Counter clockwise will give you more water from the pipe you adjust. If either of your pipes are smaller or filled with more corrosion than the sink pipes, you will have impared flow. If adjusting the valve doesn't give you the desired temperature, if you have the ball type valve, the seals need to be replaced. If you have the cartridge type valve, the cartridge needs to be replaced.

Not enough hot water, has to do with a shower valve

Hello, first if any water supply hot or cold is turned off, you will experience trickling as you mention. You must have both cold and hot in order to adjust the temperature on your valve. if you had a plumber intall this unit you should ask him to adjust it. Otherwise here is how:
Rotate the handle counterclockwise to stop and let water run till cold water is purged, check
temperature. Rotate handle to off, remove handle parts (see Disassembly in your manual) and temperature limit stop, rotate clockwise to decrease and counterclockwise to increase maximum hot water temperature, reinstall temperature limit stop and handle (TIP: Do not screw handle in until desired maximum temperature is achieved) Repeat steps until desired maximum
temperature is achieved
