By volume do you mean Ring tone volume or Handset volume?
Ring tone volume adjustments.
Press menu >settings >phone profiles
Scroll the phone profile you ares using.
Press on options >edit and select call alert volume.
Scroll right or left to adjust the volume levels.
press on select and then save.
The handset volume adjust is done by pressing on the 1st side key in idle mode.

It's a key pad problem..
Your keypad buttons are connected to your volume control at the side of your phone.
So check if the key pad is still connected to the volume control system..
