Thread on sewing machine won't pick up bobbin thread

The problem seems to be with the bobbin holder. I have changed the needle and bobbin, cleaned out the feed dogs and gone through all the recommendations in the "trouble shooting" guide. This is a new machine. I was sewing and all of a sudden the bobbin thread was not attaching to the upper thread. I cannot get the needle to pick up the bobbin thread at all. The bobbin holder is positioned properly but does not move at all and I don't know if it should or not. Can you please help me?

The bobbin case does not move, just the bobbin.. if the machine is still under warrenty, I would take it back & get another sewing machine,, and probably not from them

The needle is not picking up the lower thread, I have cleaned the machine but the bobbin is not being picked up

Doesn't pick up bobbin thread
1. The bobbin may be in backwards.
2. The bobbin thread & top thread need to be pulled to the back before starting the stitching
3. You need a ballpoint rather than universal needle to sew on t-shirt knits.
4. the needle is in the machine backwards
5. Make sure the needle is the correct one for the fabric being sewed
6. Needle inserted wrong in the needle holder
7. Warped needle
8. Warped bobbin
9. Also could be a timing problem

I can't seem to get the bobbin holder in there correctly to get the machine to sew properly.

While I know it can only go in 1 of two ways, maybe the problem isn't in how the bobbin is in, maybe it is the route of the thread.
My assumption is you don't seem to pick up the bobbin thread and it bunches. If so the carefully follow the thread to needle you may have by passed the place you put that thread so it maintains tension.
Check that carefully, sometimes that gets overlooked.

Bobbin won't spin to allow needle to catch thread

sometimes when you break a needle it can cause the machine to
jump time, the machine would have to be taken to a sewing machine
shop to be checked by the technican

LS-1520 Brother sewing machine hook pick thread up takes it around half way and gets stuck...any ideas. the timing seems to be right??!!

try changing needles
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for loose thread or lint
make sure the bobbin is inserted into the bobbin case correctly--if the
machine won't pick the thread up from the bobbin correctly take the bobbin
out of the case & turn it around & try it that way.

Needle won't pick up bobbin thread

check to make sure that the needle was put into the needle holder correctly
all the way up into the needle holder--flat side of the needle to the back side of the machine
if the machine still doesn't up the bobbin thread then
it's possible that when the needle broke that it caused the machine to go out of time which means it has to be retime at a sewing machine shop

My Brother XL-5021 sewing machine has stopped working and won't pick up the thread from the bobbin.

it's called being out of time,,and the machine can only be timed by a sewing machine repair technican,, because they have the tools for job

Make sure that the area is clean and free of lint. Change the needle and rethread the machine.

Why won't the bobbin thread pick up?

have you tried changing the needle? if it's a new needle is it inserted correctly---flat side to the back of the machine---needle push up in inside the needle holder
have you tried cleaning under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or loose threads?
have you checked the bobbin to make sure it's not warped
have you checked the bobbin is inserted correctly?

if you've already tried these things then the last thing that possible is the machine is out of time & needs to be serviced by a repair shop that have the correct tool to time it
