I managed to fix this,
on the MP3Player there is a file created when you sync it with mpmanager,
this file tells the MP3Player where the songs and directory's are,
without the file DIR Navigation wont work as its reads this file

bottom line:
Use MPManager, dont drag + drop.

When selecting the DIR navigation option, tap the select (M) button very quickly. It will skip to a hierarchical view of your directories.

If you install the software that comes with unit, you will be able to donwload the manual.

HOW DO I UPLOAD MUSIC TO MY MP3 PLAYER

Hello Elizabeth,

To transfer music to your player, connect your Coby MP600 to your computer using the supplied USB cable.

Once connected, your computer will automatically recognize the player as a Removable Disk.

??To open the player to view files, double-click the icon that appears.

Once you have opened the player's folder, simply drag and drop files to the player as you would a floppy disk.

??Copy music files to the root directory.

??Copy movie files to the "MOVIE.DIR" folder

??Copy photo files to the "PHOTO.DIR" folder

??Copy text files to the "TEXT.DIR" folder.

After copying the files, disconnect it properly and you are done.

I hope this helped you.

HOW CAN I PRINT FOLDER CONTENTS SIMILLAR TO THE DOS CAOMMAND TREE > PRN

Go to start button. In the start menu click RUN and in the box that opens type "cmd"
In the CLI go to the directory of the folder whose content you want to print and type the following and press enter to create list.txt file first before printing.

dir /b /s /on >list.txt

This will give you a text file (list.txt) in the folder, that you
can manipulate, print etc. in a text editor or
word processor. In order to redirect the output
directly to your printer, instead of a text file, type:

dir /b /s /on >prn

What are 3 functions of syntax in command 'dir'

The syntax is the correct method of typing a command. The command must be entered in the correct order and spelling for the operating system to accept it. So : dir/w is correct But dir \w Is not..
dir/w will display the contents of the current directory, but in a wide format dir/p will display the contents of the current directory until your screen is full. You then press any key to scroll down the directory listing until you reach the end. dir will display the contents of the current directory with each directory item shown on a new line. you can use each of these switches together too.
dir/w/p will display the contents of the current directory in a wide format but the listing will pause when the screen is full. Pressing any key will scroll the listing down. A word to the wise. If you are not comfortable or have little or no experience with working in the DOS Command environment, DONT.... You can cause serious damage to a system simply by mistyping a command or using the wrong command. Do so at your own risk..

Downloaded pics from blackberry using USB

What has happened is you had the Encryption mode turned on. You need to click on Options-Media Card- and turn encryption off then go into Options-Security Options-and disable content protection. After that follow this guide below to fix the other ones.
  1. Turn off future encryptions
    • Go to Options -> Media Card
    • Set Encrypt Media Files to No
    • Note: Despite what people say, you do not have to set Encryption Mode to None - this has nothing to do with your encrypted media files
  2. Move the encrypted files in order to decrypt them
    • Go to Media
    • Press the Menu key
    • Select Explore
    • Navigate to the directory containing your encrypted files
    • Create a temporary folder
    • Move the encrypted files into the temporary folder
    • Note: If you have media files in other directories that need to be decrypted, don't put them in this temporary folder. Instead, create a separate temporary folder in that directory and repeat these steps. This way, you can remember the files' original location
    • For impatient people (like me) or people with way too many encrypted files: To quickly decrypt files:
      • Move one file into the temporary folder using any method (this lets the BB remember the temporary folder as the folder you will be moving future files into)
      • Scroll to the next file
      • Press the Menu key
      • Press the M key (this highlights Move)
      • Click the trackball
      • Press the Menu key
      • Press the M key (this highlights Move here)
      • Click the trackball
      • Rinse & repeat
  3. Clean up
    • Technically, you could use the BB interface to clean up, but if you have way too many files, you'll want to use the Mass Storage Mode - this is more efficient, allows you to navigate the directories quickly, and allows your files to move to their original directories quickly
    • Use the USB cord to connect your BB to a computer and enable Mass Storage Mode
    • Navigate to the temporary folders
    • Move the containing files to their original directories
    • Delete the temporary folders
