Dav sa30 power problem

Hi, I have a dav sa30 system that I brought from the Uk when I emigrated to Australia. When you switch on the power, everything goes as normal, display lights up, then the system cuts out, and I just get a flashing red light (the power/standy light). In order to do anything else I have to unplug the unit, and leave it for a short time before it will power up againh7, only to do exactly the same. I took the player to a repair shop here and they were unable to do anything with it as its not sold in Australia and they dont possess service manuals. They did say that when the amp was disconnected everything worked fine, but the surround system obviously wouldnt work if left like this. Does anybody have any ideas, or know where I can get a copy of a service manual to get it repaired? many thanks. Sutty.

I had a simulair problem. Mine had the same problems and overheated it seemed. I still had warrenty on it, so I brought it back to the store. On the receit I got when they fixed it, it said that the analog audioprocessing unit had been replaced. That fixed the problem for me.

Who was first wife of Joseph Walter Caswell born UK 1850

I'm not sure if this is the same Joseph Walter CASWELL - but I have a relative of the same name who was born in the UK in 1851. His first marriage was to a lady by the name of Amelia Elizabeth Forsdike in 1879. Amelia was born in 1861 & she & Joseph had 4 sons - Sydney, Christopher, Bruce, & Albert (born 1886). Amelia died in 1887 & shortly thereafter, Joseph & his 4 sons emigrated to Australia. In 1892 Joseph re-married in Australia. His 2nd wife's name was Annie Mann & Joseph & Annie had a further 9 children in Australia.

Hi i have a sony dav sa 30 5.1 ch surround sound system and there is a quite noticable continuous buzzzzzz coming from it when ever i play a movie any help appreciated thanks guys i know its about 3 or 4...

Did something change in the configuration just prior to the onset of this problem?

The buzz - is it physically emanating from the unit or is it laid upon the audio through the speakers?

If the latter, look for signal cables running near power cables or devices with stong magnetic fields, look at track lighting use correlating with the problem.

Complained about the transformer failing.

I'd say that makes a trend. But I can't imagine why it would correlate to watching movies.

Buzing noise from power unit

What kind of system is it?
What "power thing" inside what?
It's a good chance its a ground loop issue.  Make sure the power cords aren't wrapped around each other or touching the speakers or running parallel with the speaker wires for more than a couple inches (interference transmitted into the speaker lines audible through speakers).

Thats a strange problem.maybe your DVD lens wants to be cleaned try doing that.or try another DVD. if that do not work, then i can say that your player is not compatible with the program that your disc is burned with.

No speakers?

if you are trying to get rid of all the speakers & just hooking up the sound to the tv speakers, what you need to look for on the back of the dvd system is you need to find an audio out. I know the is one or two audio input, but I do not think there are any audio outputs. I don'e think you can get sound out of this system without your speakers hooked up. sorry.
