When switch to carpet, the difference is that the brush roller turns. When it is on hard floors setting it doesn't. Remove the base plate, remove the brush and the belt. There is likely something wrapped around the drive spindle or clutch.

The sound is of the fan touching the liner. They only way out is to change the bearing. And temporarily you can tap the area where the noise is coming from. When the fan straightens out the noise will stop. But this is not the remedy.

Loud noise

The compressor fan is making the noise and causing overheating as well. Easy fix. Call Danby with model # and they can figure out correct fan. Part will cost around $10 and is easy to replace. Plug and play with screws. Good luck

Try checking the evaporator fan. The blades are just pushed on and sometimes may work itself up or down and plastic fan could be rubbing.

Loud noise from the freezer side

The problem is a buildup of ice on the plastic housing (the curved plastic bit) in the back of the freezer under the fixed shelf where the icetub goes. The fan behind this plastic housing is hitting the ice when the defrost comes on.

Unplug the fridge, unpack the freezer, remove the four screws in the back, take off the sheetmetal backing and let the fridge thaw. You can remove the plastic piece after a while and get the ice off (be careful not to remove the styrofoam insulation by going too quickly).

Reassemble and you're back in business, for a few months. I'm never buying Samsung again myself.

Loud Buzzing noise

Sounds like the fan is hitting some ice build-up. If you can access the area of the fan motor you can try a hair dryer to defrost the ice out of it.

you will need to replace the fan the reason it stops it the door switch needs to be closed for the fan to operate. with the door open press the switch and see if that is in fact where the noise is coming from if so it sounds like the bearings are going out
