My husbnd was erasing the pictures on our camera and he did something that makes it so that when ever we go to look at the pictures we just took the camer says memory contains no images??? this happens when we use the new memory card we just bought or with out it??? can you help us with some ideas of what he did. Thanks Kattie
Have you formatted the card? When you buy a new card for a camera it may have to be formatted by the camera so it can be used.
Note: Any data on the card will be lost during the formatting, so make sure you have a backup of any content there.

ok I figured out how to do it! put the memory card into the camera, then go to view the pictures. Then press the menu button and scroll until you see the copy button. Then you will see the option to copy from camera to card, or card to camera. Press the option to copy from camera to card and press select all....(or whichever pictures you want copied...I wanted all pictures copied). Then voila! it takes a few seconds to copy from the camera to the card, and there you have it! :)
Go to store and purchase a memor card reader/writer. It will allow you to put your memory card in it and download the pictures to the computer via the usb port. Make sure the reader/writer is made to accept your type of memory card.
Hello,
After doing some research on the NIkon Coolpix 4600, it seems the camera is constantly doing the autofocus thing. IOW - it can't be turned off. Hope this helps.
Typically when that happens your auto focus sensor has become dirty and it takes longer to focus on your subjects. Make sure both your lens and AF sensor are completely clean. Use a soft high thread count cotton cloth to wipe them clean.
