AOL Email: not able to add photos inside of email OR attach to email.
My computer freezes when I try to add photo(s), by attachment OR inside of email that I am trying to send. I cannot attach, because when I locate the folder, THAT IS WHEN THE COMPUTER FREEZES. The cursor does not do a thing, but circle, until I shut down and reboot. This has been happening for months...and I have put up with it. Something between AOL and my DELL computer is not working. I have called DELL and they've told me it is an AOL problem. If DELL fixes it...there would be a whopping charge.
Another problem (similar) last year, when I had to pay DELL to fix it; they charged my credit card; I paid; they could NOT fix it. I was still charged for it. I emailed AOL and they gave me the solution - no charge.
Thank you...I appreciate you quick response.
I'm an older lady, who uses my computer every day...and miss it, when it is NOT working correctly.
Thanks David...I do have a gmail account and yes, I can send photos there. This is a fairly new problem on AOL...I have always been able to send photos (inside) by email or attach. The problem is when I try to 'FIND' my photos (to attach or place inside of an email), when my DELL Inspiron 520 locks up in the library. I have been on AOL for 14 years. Maybe, I didn't state my problem well. I use WIN7 and AOL9.7Thanks David...I do have a gmail account and yes, I can send photos there. hi, to send pictures or any other file you can attach the file using the attachment icon on the toolbar of your email. if you are unable to attach anything then it could be an issue with your email client. you can reinstall the software.. and then try ..
In iOS you can natively add pictures as attachments. Tap on Photos. Open your camera roll. Tap on the picture to send. In the bottom left corner of the screen there is an arrow. Tap it, and select "Email Photo." Your email will launch with the image attached.
If yoy dont have Microsoft Outlook in your computer then you need to do it manually. The "Attach to email" option will trigger your email client inside the computer. if you are using web based email like yahoo mail, gmail, hotmail and the like, then the only way to attach the picture is by doing it manually.
Here is the solution for you . Just follow the steps below :
Open a new email and address it to whomever you are sending
the photo to.(for eg : Click on the compose mail and enter the email address)
Click "Attach," which is typically located on the tool bar
above the body of the email template. It will also generally have a
paper clip graphic to help you locate that button.
Select the "File" option. Many email programs offer a "File"
or "Photo" option; simply select the "File" option as it's much easier
and has no effect on how the file is sent or received.
Choose the photo you want to send from your computer. You can
access different files in your computer by choosing the "Browse" option
at the bottom of the Menu box. Once you pick the photo, select "Open"
to attach it to your email. This may take a few moments, so be patient.
Review your email. You should see an attachment directly
below the subject line of your email; that is your photo. You can repeat
the process to add more than one photo if you choose to do so.
Write your email and send it as you normally would.
A simple process to e-mail photos from any computer using windows is fairly simple. Find the folder with the pictures in them. Then select the pictures you would like to send by pressing the "ctrl" key while left clicking(left mouse button) on each picture you would like to send. Once you have selected the pictures then right click on one of the highlighted pictures and select "send to" and then "e-mail recipient" and then right click. This will bring up a page to send the e-mail using your default e-mail program with the pictures attached. You can then add any remarks, comments ect. and choose who you would like to send the pictures to.
Even though you want to attach a picture, instead of attaching a photo, try attaching a file instead. You can then select the photo. I think it is some sort of quirk in Yahoo. I had the same problem.
first you need an email address, yahoo would be an option if you dont have one. so open the website yahoo.com and then singup for the new account create a username and password and then log in to your account. and then. click on MAIL, then enter your user name and password and clik next and then it will take you to your inbox where you see all your emails. so then click on COMPOSE. then type the email address you want to send the emails to. then to attach the photos, click on ATTACH. then click on BROWSE, then select the pictures which you want to attach. select them and then click on attach. you would see the attach pictures like attachment 1 or 2 or 3...4 and then click SEND.
Open iPhoto
Hi-light the photo or photos you want to send.
Select the drop down menu 'share'
Select email
You will be asked to select the size that you want to send, the larger the size the longer it will take to send.
Once you have selected the size then select compose and Mail will open with the photo(s) attached.
You can now add any text that you want and then send your email
