Yeah i had a cabrio and just fitted it in car with the seat belt the part of the seat belt that would go around your waist goes over the front of the carseat and over were the baby would be sitting there is clips at either side just below the carryhandle put the seat belt through them then put the part of the seat belt that would go around your neck round the back there should be another clip in the middle of the back above the storage part if you put the seat belt throgh it then clip the buckle in and pull tight the car seat should be secure hope i explained it easy to follow.

Fit toyota starlet

Hi Lisa

The carseat would require a physical fitting from trained staff prior to use to ensure it can be safely installed using the 3 point seatbelt. This is due to the fact there is no standard length for seatbelts or seatbelt webbing so we would always advise a physical fitting from trained staff for any unit being fitted with the seatbelt as it may fit one vehicle but not another of the same make, model and registration.

Does maxi cosi cabriofix easy base require anything to be removed from it before fixing it? we cant find where the button is that fixes it to the seat

Hi

Can you clarify - what button are you looking for?

The EasyFix base is fitted into the vehicle using the IsoFix points OR the 3 point seabelt. (Never both) The carseat then clicks onto the base and the metal rods on the underside of the CabrioFix carseat are grabbed by clamps on the base.

Good Afternoon

Please go to www.maxi-cosi.com and ensure you are on the UK page. Then select the carseat you require fitting instructions for and you can download a replacement manual which shows directions and also there is a video available for how to fit with seatbelt.

Hi, I would like to ask a few questions: 1. Does the Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat fits only to the isofix base, or can it be installed to the mico base as well ? If it does, the only difference is that the...

Good Morning

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted without any base, using the 3 point seatbelt: With the EasyFix base, using IsoFix points or 3 point seatbelt: With the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 using the 3 point seatbelt. It cannot be used with the Mico carseat base as they are not designed to be used together. The Mico is available in US and does not meet UK standards: Likewise the CabrioFix does not meet US standards so they should never be used together.

If you don't know how to fit the carseat into your vehicle using the 3 point seatbelt please check your user manual, or download a replacement copy at www.maxi-cosi.com before use go to an authorised retailer to check it is correctly installed as this will affect the performance of the carseat.

The carseat has obviously not been correctly installed using the seatbelt as it cannot be removed without undoing the seatbelt if it has been correctly installed. Contact your retailer for a demonstration on correct fitting.

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted using the EasyFix base (IsoFix or seatbelt fitted) the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 (fitted with seatbelt only) or the FamilyFix base (IsoFix only). If you do not have IsoFix points you need either an EasyBase or EasyBase 2 to be fitted with seatbelt.

What's the difference between Easybase (non isofix) and Easyfix base (isofix)? can I use the second one for both maxi cosi cabriofix and car seat up to 3.5 year?

Hi,

The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).

I hope this helps.

Hi,

If you purchased the carseat without the bars, then this is a Cabrio and not a CabrioFix carseat, and nothing can be done to adapt this to become a CabrioFix.

I hope this helps.

Have purchased Maxi Cosi baby restraint with Easy Base - Iso fix,

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix and EasyFix can only be used with IsoFix or the seat belt on (preferrably) the back seat. Please don't alter the mounting system of the seat as it will give unpredicable results!

The Commodore name has been around since 1978 so it is possible when you own an older Commodore you won't have any means to fix the Maxi Cosi seat.

If you do have IsoFix and/or seat belts in the back seat then please elaborate on the exact nature of the problem.

With kind regards,
