Dialling from computer then taking call on phone?

With my last skype phone I could dial from my skype contact list on the computer and then pick up the handset to take the call while it was connecting. Is it possible to do the same thing with this phone? Seem to have tried everything!

hi I have this same problem so to dial a random number I have to first enter it into the contacts list. Hope someone has managed to resolve this.

Same, one can not dial from the phone. Need to use from list or dial using the Skype keys. And......found out Philips not longer will make this. And.......its doesn't work with the new (4.0) version of Skype.(Philips 3211g/37

Thank you Fred42. I have done a search for the GE phone and it does not come up with anything. Is GE the make of phone or what? I wouls like to order one on line if possible.

Hi zappawo, This is impossible with the Philips VOIP321. A design flaw. You have to live with it or buy another one, like the GE/Thomson GE21878. I bought the GE with this question in mind. The GE does take over the calls from the screen to the handset. As it should be.

I like this unit a lot. Does everything a well trained skype phone should do. Success with it.

Some buttons wont work eg contacts list and dialing button and earpiece is damaged

I have similar problem with Contacts List and Dialing Button, it is a firmware issue, set your Home Screen Theme to Contacts Bar and you would be able to access contact list at least, however the Dialling Button would still not work

You can check if your phone is suitable for V40 firmware upgrade thorugh Nokia PC Suite

Can't make calls with Linksys CIT2000. My Skype is fine but the phone won't connect.

I unistalled Linksys CIT200 (twice), left Skype running, reinstalled it again, TO THE LETTER, but I skipped the reg. section completely. Turned the phone off (at the on/off switch on the phone itself) before, and only turned it on again when the CD was done. Everything came up daisies for me. Got rid of "EAccessviolation" prob, and the "disconnected" prob. To make sure you're up and running, open Skype, dial a number (I dialled my home phone) using the Skype number pad, when you see it's ringing, press the green button on your phone, the phone should take over, and connect you in the process.... How to switch fixed dialling on nokia n73?

Press menu button and select Contacts > Options > SIM contacts > SIM directory to see the names and numbers stored on the SIM card. In the SIM directory you can add, edit, or copy numbers to contacts, and you can make calls. To view the list of fixed dialing numbers, select Options > SIM contacts > Fixed dialling contacts. This setting is only shown if supported by your SIM card.

Incompatibility with ACER computers?

Hi, I have the same phone, I also have an ACER laptop and running vista home premium.

I needed to download the vista software package from telephonesonline (it costs for the download) but no problems after that it works great.

The only thing with this particular phone is that if you have a monthly account (skype pro) and you use your package as your regular phone you need to add every phone number you call to your contact list.

I haven't found a soloution to dial out from the phone using skype with out it being in the contacts list.

Use call phones through voip321

It took me a while to figure out but here is how I am able to dial out from skype to a hardline to a person not in my skype contact. Simply start to dial the number (not from the talk button!!!) then instead of hitting the talk button to dial, hit the skype button on the bottom left hand side. I also have to dial 001 then the phone number. Hope this works for you too. good luck.
