New phone DECT1480. How do I delete the new cid numbers

My friend 9 miles away bought the same phone system. DECT1480 with 4 phones. Usually I can pick up phone things right away, but we are both having the same problems...except her phone buzzes so bad sometimes I have to hang up. There are so many things you do with this system it is confusing. I want to know what to hit to delete new CID numbers.

To select a number, highlight the number and press Menu/select. The phone gives you the following 3 options:
1) Delete Entry Erase the number from the list.
2) Store Into Pb Add the number to the phonebook. The handset prompts you to edit the name and number.
3) Delete All (CID list only) Erase all numbers from the list.

Friends phone:
1) Check batteries
2) Check base unit has good mains connection ! faulty mains extension

Are you getting caller ID?

Under phones/sets, you have to tell the system to log the calls.

Your display screen may be powered by the battery in your phone and it might be getting tired. If that isn't the case the LCD display has died. Thanks Jerry

SOURCE: What does New CID=1 mean?

Hello,
CallerID. CID=1 mean there was one (new) caller ID number recorded by the telephone.
Hope it helps.

SOURCE: CID not working

There are two main types of Caller ID used in the US, most Uniden phones will work with either type, you just need to set it to type "A" or type "B". If you will post your model I will be happy to tell you how to change it or you can call Uniden Customer Service at 800-297-1023

Uniden dect 6.0 turn off CID recording

I find no way to disable the CID record feature.

If you wish to neither see nor record CID, contact your service provide and unsubscribe to the CID service.

A copy of the user manual is available at;
http://www.uniden.info/download/ompdf/DECT1580om.pdf

To delete all the recorded Caller ID numbers with the handset do the following;

When the phone is in standby, press ID (on the 4-way navigation function key), then press MENU/SELECT, then select Delete All. When the phone asks you to confirm, select Yes.

My Dect 3135 handset is flashing and shows New CID 1. How do I get rid of this and stop it flashing?

Caller ID (CID) is a service available from your telephone provider that shows the phone number (and sometimes the caller's name) of incoming calls.

The phone saves the information for the last 50 received calls to the CID list.

The NEW icon marks any calls received since the last time you checked the list.

To open the CID list press CID.

Highlight a number and press MENU/SELECT.

The options:
Delete an entry - this will erase the number from the list.
Store Into PB - this will add the number to the phonebook.
Delete All - will erase all numbers from the list.

I have a call display feature with telephone company but can not see any numbers on the phone screen. KX-T7436

It requires 3 things to display CID on a Panasonic system phone, CID service, CID hardware (part number TD-193), and programming. The 193 card is a 4-port card about 3 inches square and it attaches to the trunk card of a TD system.

It was an extra cost item in everything but the -7 cabinet, the last one Panasonic made in the series.

The volume on the handsets whether on sphone or not is very very low. No-one in the office can hear the other parties speaking well enough We have 4 handsets and the are all the same Volume controls are...

As a service tech, I'd do the following:

Is it on all lines? If it is, try a REGULAR phone on the outside lines and see if you can hear. If not, swap lines at the phone system (marked CO 1,2,3 etc).

If you have low volume on only line 1 and it moves to line 2 when you swap them, call the dial tone provider. If it stays in the first slot and line 2 is now loud, you may have an issue (rare) with the phone system, call your system repair technician or remap all the buttons on each set, dropping the bad line port.

In these cases, 9 times out of 10 it will be with the dial tone provider. Distance from the central office, or other factors usually affect the transmission levels. We have that a lot in rural areas, like my home office that's 9 miles away from the C.O. and 4 miles from the remote switching station. In my case, VoIP and a cable modem was my friend.

On my model 8885 uniden phone, when I try to store a # the screen say's memory full. I only have two numbers stored. help

These phones use a "Shared" memory, the CID information and the Phone book information share the same memory chip. If you clean out the caller ID data you should be able to load more numbers in the phone book. Since you have an 8885 I am assuming you have TCX800 or TCX905 handset(s), to clear the CID memory, Follow these steps:

Deleting Information from the Caller ID List
1) When the phone is in standby mode, view the Caller ID
information to be deleted (see "Viewing the Caller ID
List" on page 50).
2) Press the DELETE soft key. De let e C all er ID appears.
3) Press volume up/down to choose Yes.
4) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.

To delete all the CID information follow these steps:

Deleting all Caller ID names/numbers
1) When the phone is in standby mode, press cid.
Press the DELETE soft key. De let e A ll? appears.
2) Press volume up/down to choose Y es.
3) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone

No CID

This message is in an area that discusses the 25202RE3. If you really have the 202, this model shouldn't have the CallerID capability. If there was ever a model 25204RE3, that model probably has it.

If you bought it brand new, then you might have the space-age chrome/blue-plasma model (2542YRE3?, where Y is either 3, 4, or 5). If Y is 3 (and the model number system holds), you don't have CID/VM. If Y is 4, you do. If Y is 5, you have a built-in answering machine as well.
