Do not see all phones available to add to a hunt group

Although I have nine phones (users) currently online in the phone system, when I go to edit an already established hunt group, none of the users not currently in the hunt group are available to add. I have tried the show all/show members option, as well as resetting the group. The users that are not currently in the hunt group are not available under the status tab either. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a Internet Explorer issue. If you use it in "compatibility view" it will show all users when you click on show all users. Otherwise use google chrome or firefox.

You have to be fast. When the phone boots up, it will grab DHCP for 4 seconds. During that time you can press *.

Or, you can wait for teh phone to fully boot up and connect to then system, then do it.

How do I set up speed dialing on my HP Officejet 5740

While "Speed Dialing" or "Speed Dial" is listed in its fax specifications on some sites, it appears to be a mislabeled categorization of its group fax feature as HP's manual makes no other mention of it--save to say, the "fax to multiple numbers" (or multiple recipients) feature. There does not appear to be a speed dial list, but there is a phone book feature for adding contacts (individual numbers) & groups. (The following is detailed in a more explanatory way on pages 65-66 of the user's manual (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Officejet-5740-e-All-in-One-Printer-series/6617253/model/6617254/manuals?cc=us&lang=en).

1. From the printer control display, touch Fax.
2. Touch Send Now.
3. Touch the telephone symbol to access its phone book feature.
4. Touch the person symbol for a phone book contact; or touch the multiple person symbol for a group of phone book contacts.
(Note: Contacts should be established before any of these could be added to any group.)
5. Touch + (plus sign) to add a contact/group; or touch the gear symbol (edit) to edit/delete a contact/group.
6. Touch Name.
7. Changes to contacts/groups:
•Adding a contact/group: type the name, & then touch Done.
••Adding a fax number to a contact: Touch Fax Number, enter this contact's fax number, & touch "Create".
••Adding a contact to a group: Touch Number of Members, select all of the contacts to add to this group from this printer's phone book, & touch Select followed by touching "Create".

•Editing: Select the contact/group name, & then touch Done. Then...
••Editing a Contact: touch Fax Number, enter the fax number, & touch Done.
••Editing a Group: touch Number of Members & deselect the contacts to remove from this group or touch + (plus sign) to add contacts to this group. Then touch Done.

•Deleting a contact/group: Select the name, & then touch Delete followed by touching Yes.

How do we remove an extension from a hunt group in a Norstar Meridian M7316 telephone?

Hi Marty,
Don't worry about counting your way through. Just log into the system, and you will see Terminals and Sets. Press next until you see System Programming, then press Show. Next until you see Hunt Groups, and press show. You can pick the hunt group you're changing and delete the extension from there.

If you're not seeing what we tell you you should see, double check the model of your phone.

Unmute phone

Your phone needs to be added to the same hunt group as hers on the phone system.

Is that extension in a hunt group (rings wit other phones)? It might have a general message in another box, causing that phones message waiting lite to illuminate.
Go into Manager and in the USERS tab, select that phones user. Look in the SOURCE NUMBER section. Is the re an entry of "Hxxx" or H1234"? either with H and a name or number of the hunt group. If so remove the entry and save the programming.

Move a hunt group button to different position on set

Hunt group buttons are just like lines, they occupy to first buttons on the phone. The only way to move a hunt group button is up or down the list of lines. If you want it first, you have to remove all assigned line from the extension to be changed this includes the hunt group. Now come out of programming and go back in to the extension. Add the lines or hunt group in the order you want them. NOTE IF THE LINES ARE TO BE OUT OF ORDER NUMERICALLY, YOU HAVE TO ADD THE ONES THAT ARE IN ORDER AND LEAVE PROGAMMING AND COME BACK IN AGAIN. THIS SETS THE ORDER OF APPEARANCE.

Red light does not go out

Check that user in Manager under the "Trusted Source" tab. If there is an Hxxx, then that user is getting voicemail for a hunt group as well as the extension.
Also might look like H"hunt group name" as well.

Program "Do not disturb" on business phone

From the manual: You need to program a button with FEATURE 01.

Do Not Disturb is available only on system telephones.
¦
Do Not Disturb requires a button with lights. When the Do Not Disturb feature is on, the light
is also on, indicating that the telephone will not ring.
¦ Use Do Not Disturb when you do not want the auto attendant or the voice messaging system
to transfer calls to you.
¦ Use Do Not Disturb if you are assigned to a Hunt Group and you leave your desk, so calls to
the Hunt Group will skip your extension and ring immediately at the next available extension
in the group.
¦ To avoid missing calls when Do Not Disturb is not needed, turn it off
