I am a sanyo VCR technician and i will share to you what i had encountered. the problem of your VCR is in the mechanism "slide front" unable to push out the ejector portion of the tape. If you can locate this part just push it so that the tape will eject.

When I go to put a cassette in the tape drive on the camera the screen is blue then it makes a repeating noise and it shows a blinking arrow that is point straight up. What does this mean and how do I...

From the user manual page 28, I find that the reason this would be is that the "write protect tab" on the cassette is out. Someone has set the tab in order to keep from being able to record-over the tape or the tab has been set by accident. If you want to over-write the tape, slide the tab so that the red mark is no longer showing.
Another reason is listed on page 155, where it says the reason may be that condensation has occurred inside the camera.
The solution according to the user manual is to remove the cassette and allow the camera to site for an hour for it to acclimate to the surrounding temperature.
If a code number is displayed in conjunction with this "up arrow", you can look up the error code on page 158 of the manual.

I have a Sony PDX-10 and it's giving me two blinking yellow symbols (underlinded triangle and tape with line through it) when I fire it up loaded with a tape. Tried changing with tapes that work fine in...

Hello,
Looking at PDX 10 User Manual Page 232

Your description -

Under lined Triangle

Cassette Ejection needed
Slow Flashing: The Write protect tab exposed

Fast Flashing: Moisture Condensation
Cassette out of tape
Self diagnosis display function activated

Sounds like the diagnosis function maybe your best shot......
Check displayed error codes in viewfinder on Page 231 of the User Manual or let me know if you dont have copy of them.

Tape Symbol Flashing:

Tape near end
No cassette inserted
The write protect tab exposed.

I think this is basically telling you the loading mechanism has a problem, the viewfinder is displaying an error code indicating the nature of the fault..... IF error Code is : E61:........ or E62........ (dots indicate extra numbers) these MUST be referred to Sony Service Centre.

Hope this may help
