SOURCE: ps3 defaults to 576p when connected through onkyo 606 receiver

You have to tell the PS3 what the Okyo can do and it probably cannot do 1080P 60Hz (but can likely do 1080P 24Hz).  Try ticking more resolutions in the PS3s setup

SOURCE: Apple TV and Bose Home Theater

I had the same problem.
I could not get HDMI to HDMI to work.

i fixed it (work around), by connecting ATV HDMI to DVD HDMI port on V30, i then connect L&R to AUX.  I set the Bose remote for controlling ATV to AUX.
so to use ATV with Bose remote i know press DVD, this gives me the correct display but not audio, i then press AUX and this gives me ATV control and audio.

interesting, when i first set this up (trial and error), it didn't work.  I was doing some cable management clean up, when i got a fright and the thing started working...but i have a ghost in my house so that is probably a more plausible reason why its working now.
it feels like this product is only 90% finished

It's actualy an easy fix. The problem you are having, is resetting the video options on your PS3. It auto detects HDMI or A/V cables. Here is a vid of how to do it. Again, really easy. Remember, this works with EVERY PS3 system.

This may be a simple fix. Do you still have the original cable that came with it for the video OUT? Plug this back into your playstation and TV while leaving the HDMI cable connected.
check now both HDMI channels and AV/Composite options on your source selection this should give you the display,
Now what we need to do is setup your HDMI output again.
From the menu bar,
  • Go to settings
  • Display Settings
  • Video output settings
  • choose HDMI
if you have the choice to choose OK choose it. If your screen goes blank go through your HDMI channels again and if the Playstation screen is there then select OK,
Then you can remove the composite cable again

You must go back to the origional place you used the HDMI last, and do all the setting up & hook up again, to get a picture, THEN set it to component, or AV, and THEN turn off shut down, Now it will work at the other place OK.

No picture no sound

If you are using HDMI sometimes an improper shutdown will cause the HDMI "Handshake" to get confused.Try going to the Crossbar (Menu) on the PS3 2nd coluom from the left and down to Display Settings. Choose the appropiate output settings and use AUTOMATIC whenever possible. After that Set your Audio again use AUTO. Never plug in HDMI cables when Power is on it can and will short out that Input!! Good Luck!

Hdmi wont work and it used to how do i reset the plasma

You have to set up your PS3 to use the HDMI connection. what you need to do is hook up both the component and HDMI to your tv and turn your PS3 on, the you have to go to "Settings" and find the video output settings (Sorry, i don't have the PS3 on so I can't check out exactly where to go) and select HDMI.
Your screen will go black and you have to switch over to the HDMI on your tv and select ok on your PS3

JVC LT-32DS75SJ issue with HDMI

Try this

1. Turn ON TV
2. Connect PS3 to TV HDMI input
3. select TV HDMI input for PS3
4. turn OFF PS3 if it is ON
5. Press and hold the [I/O]Power button until the PS3 until you get the "HDMI Detected" message.

Also, this TV has a circuit that deactivates the HDMI if the rear cover is removed. It is possible the HDMI may have been turned OFF. This is reset in the service menu of the TV.
