I have a lenovo 3000 y410 7757 laptop with windows 7 installed. I cannot find the drivers for windows7 for the sound,or anything, only vista and xp. Can anyone help?

Go to the link below and download the windows vista audio driver it should work lenovo don't support drivers for windows 7 on your laptop but the vista driver should work.

The only audio drivers for this machine is for windows XP and Vista 32 bit. You may try using the Vista driver since Windows 7 anmd Vista are almost the same platform. You can download the driver here.

The lenovo 3000 Y410 is part of their budget range and lenovo decided not to officially support Windows 7 for the hardware. However we have one that we use in the kitchen which we have been able to successfully upgraded to the far superior Windows 7 operating system.

In order to get the sound card working I tested the Windows XP and Windows Vista drivers.

As it turns out the Windows Vista driver supplied by lenovo worked fine for me.

Therefore to fix your problem, download and install the Windows Vista soundcard driver for your laptop which can be found here-

This is because required sound drivers are not installed windows 7 should auto find the drivers however sometimes you may have to manually install them or change sound card if sound card isn't compatible with windows7

Try downloading it from the following wesbite. It worked for me.

i have install windows7 in my y410 laptop and the sound driver is not working in it.it shows an error massage while i am trying to install the driver.

you have to wait for final version of windows 7 then the software /hardware suplyers wil make the drivers after thad

You can download the drivers from Lenovo support site. Just check the back of your notebook for the serial number. Lenovo support downloads ask for that. Then, get the drivers. Turn on the bluetooth first.

Download the XP drivers for Windows XP. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, download the Vista drivers. Be sure to install the Chipset drivers first and then the sound drivers. Only then can you install bluetooth drivers properly.

Dear the drivers which u have for vista for eg LAN / SOUND/ CHIPSET they all are common for any operating system ur load...............so don't take tension install xp & load the drivers.........................Sameeraryan
