I have a Thomson 20LB020S4 and lost the remote control, now I bought a universal remote which can be used by thomson, but I cannot switch on the TV since this only works with a remote which is programmed for it. How do i switch the TV on? Please advice!!!

Dear Sir:

1) Read you user manual and see where is the power on.

2) Get from radio schack one universal remote control.

3) Programmed it. according with the codes coming the literature from R.C.

4) However you can get from the next web: www. fitness.manualsonline. com get you model, etc and download free.

Go to remotefinder.rca.com/default.aspx?site=rca on your computer and it gives proper codes ( usually more than one) for each unit.

Without a remote control, you can't change this option. Just buy one universal remote control, which have setup codes for Thomson Brand.

Its likely that the new new remote control has specific codes for the components it can operate. You should look to the remote manual or online source to find the code(s) for the DVD player you have. Without knowing the remote you purchased, its hard to locate codes for you.
