Screen remains blue with "no signal" inspite of being hooked up to cable and the input set on "cable". Some channels have a hint of signal, shadows, etc.but most remain blue with "no signal".
Probably a bad video processor board
But, 1st try using a different type of Cable such as IRC, STD, or HRC different freqs and channels
Also, try using a vcr or dvd on one of the inputs to see if that works

Also, disable the Blue Screen option in setup
Are you cwertain that the cable input you are using is the correct one? There are 2 of them on this set. One is strictly for High Def and the Other Cable. I don't want to sound silly or anything but, I have done this myself

I did hook it up to a vcr and it works fine. Had a salesman at Best Buy tell me he thought I needed a new tuner board. I see them (used) on the internet for $100 to $150, but I hesitate to spend another $150 on top of the original $1000 3 years ago.
