4 years old drum just suddenly stopped rotating. Fills ok empties ok via ! selector but after filling nothing, Checked belt was ok checked for loose connections. Losts of carbon dust around belt.
Took motor out checked brushes. They were contacting armature so took them out cleaned them and refitted. Hey presto working again.;-) although motor refit was a bit fiddly and the belt was just a **^%$£** to fit. Thanks very much. Gonna buy a new set of brushes and fit when I can.Took motor out checked brushes. They were contacting armature so took them out cleaned them and refitted. The carbon dust that you mention ? on the drivebelt will//may have come from the electric motor carbon brushes especially as you sy machine is 4 yrs old you can diy inspect the brushes by removing the rear panel to access motor unplug the socket from motor then slacken belt and remove belt from pully remove the motor you will see location f brushes x2 opposit each other and normally held in position ont armature of motor by coiled pressure clip like watch spring and brush has wire embedded in it and other end a push on terminal? when these brushes wear down normally the fist indication is fast spin slows then eventually no rotation of drum? over a period of time? SO easy diy to renew brushes if as above worne down /not contacting armature? cost approx £5 here in n/west uk worth investigating and diy saving ££££s $$$$s? and i hope you have good luck hope this helps/inspires you?
well done! thank you for your update and pleased to hear you were successful and are now more knowledged as to diy your machine ? for info the brushes cost approx £ 5 uk andwhen fitted in carriers will be level with the top of carrier whilst brushes are out try cleaning armature up and you could use one if wifes fine nail file then vac out ? i hold nail file against and rotate the belt pulley by hand alway works i would consider renew of belt? hope it lasts another 4 yrs? best wisheswell done! thank you for your update and pleased to hear you were successful and are now more knowledged as to diy your machine ? for info the brushes cost approx £ 5 uk andwhen fitted in carriers will be level with the top of carrier whilst brushes are out try cleaning armature up and you could use one if wifes fine nail file then vac out ? i hold nail file against and rotate the belt pulley by hand alway works i would consider renew of belt? hope it lasts another 4 yrs? best wishes

Remove the motor, and check the brushes in the motor, if o/k, then could be a board prob, or something as simple as a broken or bad connection.
Pleasre rate my solution.
Thanks.
if it fill with water then stops it is the ellement the machine first fills turns the drum then heats up the thermostat cuts in and the it emptys rinses and spins so if it does not get to temp it will stop or continue to wash forever
Hi there, this problem sounds as though the carbon brushes are needing replaced or infact just needing to be cleaned of dust or dirt. Its very common for the brushes to be covered in dust and fibres. Im not sure where the brushes will be on this model but I hope this helps you in someway.
Sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such a s a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the macine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys. Good Luck!
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON A 4 MONTH OLD MACHINE AND I CALLED A SERVICE PERSON. HE SAID THAT I CAN THROW IT AWAY. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT NOBODY CAN FIX.
