FS e7110 wlan problem, got drivers but cant install

In your web browser, go to
http://www.a4tech.com/downloads.asp
Select 'PK' in left box and 635M in right box in the downloads section. I have shown it in green in the following screen capture.


Click 'GO' button. The Orange color GO button within green area.

Now click 'Driver for PC' button on left to download the driver.

Did you upgrade your laptop or pc to Windows 7? If you did you may need a driver for your WLAN that is compatible with windows 7. Check you windows 7 if it is a 64 bit or a 32 bit because you have to download the appropriate drivers. If you are using the default windows version, check device manager to check if your WLAN is working or installed.

To enable/disable WLAN, please press "Fn+F11" to execute the device: (then follow below steps accordingly)
Note: there are four stages in all, assumingly both bluetooth and wifi are installed.

First stage : press Fn+F11 = Enable WLAN only
Second stage : press Fn+F11 = Bluetooth On + WLAN Off
Third stage press : Fn+F11 = Bluetooth On + WLAN On
Fourth stage press : Fn+F11 = Bluetooth Off + WLAN Off

After enabling the WLAN, search the Access Point and connect with it. Now, you may use the WLAN.

If this does not work, check if the driver is installed in your computer by going to the device manager. check under network adapters. If the driver is installed, uninstall the current driver and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, you may download the driver update at the msi website: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474. Just make sure the driver you're downloading is compatible with yoru operating system

Step-by-step guide for install Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN driver.
1. Download file for Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN from the below link, save it on your computer and unzip.
2. Connect your Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN to computer.
3. Right click on My computer and click Properties. Go to Hardware tab. Click to Device Manager button.
4. Find your new Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN on net category double click on device and press Reinstall Driver button.
5. Select Install from specific location, check Include this locationand click Browse button to select the Broadcomdriver click Next buttonto continue and click Finish button to finish installation.
6. After this procedure you should see new Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN in net inside device manager.

JUST SWITCH OFF THE WLAN BUTTON... ^_^

the wirelessnetwork card in those laptops **** if its wpa or some thing like that you can't connect if its wep you can connect, it only can connect unseured or wep secured networks

Make sure the ready light is on. Press the green go button.

Also make sure you don't have printing paused.

DOUBLE CLICK ON YOUR KYOCERA PRINTER DRIVER
CLICK FILE
IF THERE IS A TICK NEXT TO PAUSE PRINTING, THEN CLICK ON PAUSE PRINTING
IF NOT THEN DON'T.

ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR PRINTER IS SET TO DEFAULT PRINTING DEVICE.



If all else fails, install the kyocera fs-1700 driver for the printer. it's a generic driver for kyocera-mita.

WLAN light will give you the status of your wireless connection. If WLAN light is off, it might be a possibility that wireless has been turned off or worse is the device had stopped broadcasting a wireless signal. you may try using 192.168.1.1 to get into the setup page of the device to check if wireless has been disabled.

If you have vista click the start button and in the start search type "hp wireless assistant". It should show up in your list while you type it. Click on it. Once the assistant box shows up, click on "properties". A "settings" box should show up. The main one you need here is "independant controls for installed wireless device". Check that box. The other ones are icons and indicators that you can check at your discretion. If in doubt, check them all. Hit the "apply" button. Then in the upper right hand side of the box hit the button that says "turn on". This should activate the device and if you have a light up indicator on your computer, it should change color or light up. That should do it. Kind of weird how it gets to that point.
