I do not use my Philips Dect 6.0 CD440 as an answering machine (I have another phone for that), but the screen indicates that there is a message on the phone & the red light is blinking (as it does if new call numbers have not been viewed). How can I either retrieve or delete the message?

What worked for me was to call my phone from another phone and leave myself a voicemail. I then went in and retrieved and deleted that voicemail. Once I hung up from my voicemail service my handsets reset about 10 seconds later.
I hope this helps!

If you restore Factory Defaults under "Mute" menu it will stop blinking.

1.6V to 1.7V doesn't bother . Normally handset have voltage booster, DC to DC circuit to 3.3V for microprocessor. Even 2*1.7V =3.4V , still ok for microprocessor .

Usually answered in minutes!
Thanks for trying, but what I need are the keystrokes for the Dect 6.0 - the manual was lost long ago.
You may download the CD440 manual athttp://www.p4c.philips.com/files/c/cd440...
From page 24 of this manual: "These voice messages are stored by the network rather than in your handset itself. Contact your network provider for more information about this feature."
Thank you very much
