How to switch off the light will recording the through camera

Hi,
please take out memory card from camera, check on left side of memory card, there is Lock bar, slide it upward to unlock memory card protection and insert memory card in camera to solve this issue.

You need to know in which position was camera turned of.
So try turning it on in RECORD OR PLAY position.
It will work then...

Wow my friend do you need Ghost Busters? er no this is mostly a case of the main switch being on lock, or the main IC going down on the panel in the cameras brain area, check the locks first, if it is the chip you will need to call your Sony repair man (He will love you) with summer coming he will be able to go on longer holiday, because that wont be a cheap mend sadly.

i know exactly whats wrong! the same thing happend to me.
1. turn off the gl1 2.look at the record button with the lock and standby switch 3.flip the switch all the way to standby because it might be stuck in the middle 4. turn on your camera

hi, what type of batterys have you brought as most normal batterys you buy wont even switch the camera on you need hi power batterys such as lithium or even better go into a camera shop and they will have special high power bats, normal bats wont even switch mine on so give different batts a try

i had the same problem if you have the same version as me there is a littel switch on the upper right of your camera switch it so the flower thing is off make sure it is off the charger and make sure the battery is put in correctly those are all the problems i had once i fixed those my flash and light started working
