I also have a 2510. This model has been discontinued. There is a firmware update. You need to go to:

And download the firmware instructions and the firmware download. You will need to burn a CD-R.
The instructions can be confusing.

I can suggest you to verify the unit is on BD mode. To do so, you have to press the USB/SD button on remote. If you already tried to load the firmware update and still that did not work; it seems like there is a problem with the actual laser lens.

This product has a year warranty, try taking it back to the store or contact Memorex at 1-877-363-6673 and ask how to get the unit replaced.

I've had the same problem--I called Memorex and the technician told me how to fix the problem. So far, so good, but I've only had one movie on. You'll need your remote control to do this:

1. Power on the player without a disc inserted. Wait for the Blue Memorex screen to appear.

2. Near the bottom of the remote, there are four circle buttons. The third one says USB/SD above it. Press it.

3. At the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, a little menu appears. Make sure USB is not selected--the technician says that the reason it skips is because it is looking for a USB connection while playing.

I have mine set to the first, BD. If you live in the US, you can call them if this does not work at 1-800-919-3647.

My Memorex Blue Ray MVBD2520 keeps doing a 1 second freeze when playing regular DVD's....Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
