Starts but will not keep running. What are the carb hi and low settings for this saw
Roy: First adjust the air and fuel screws all the way in. Do not force them... when the needle valves hit bottom, stop tightening. Turn the air and fuel screws out one and a half turns and try to start the machine. It should at least try to start. adjust the screws in or out one quarter of a turn, one screw at a time until you get the machine to run properly, then work on the idle screw to set the idle.

Through trial and error on fairly new Poulin Pro, found that the usual 3-half turns for both high and low was too much (flooded) (Used to be good starting point on weed eaters years ago. So, turned both all the way in, and only backed out 1-full turn. (2-halves) Saw fired up perfectly, and ran wide open just fine. Try that.

turn both jets in untill snug (don't force) turn out ccw one full turn. increase by 1/8 turns untill set proper. should be between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 normally. good luck. be safe.

Is thereadjustment somewhere on the saw
I think there is 2 .
SOURCE: chain keeps turning while in the idle position
There will be an idle (Low) speed adjustment screw somewhere on the saw (look in your manual). Adjusting this setting lower will prevent the chainsaw chain from turning in the idle throttle position. Basically you want to set it so the chain has just stopped moving... but you need to set this after the chainsaw has warmed up a little.

All you need to do is try to adjust the throttle idle speed or else a cheat would be to tighten the cable which means the cable will be pulling very slightly the throttle which means it will remain running when u release throttle.
