Ipod frozen, screen diplays Disk Mode a 'Tick' Symbol in the center and Ok to Disconnect below it.

I put the screen lock on it and I forgot the password. I entered there to try to change it by putting reset but I put the wrong one that said enter password.Since I forgot it I can't enter in my Ipod. Is there some kind of code that takes it off. my i-pod nano was pluged into my computer. It did not say DO NOT DICONECT so I diconected it from my computer. Now its frozen what can I do? I have tried to restart it but it is completely frozen! Have you already attempted to reset the iPod? If not you will want to attempt that as your first step towards resolving this issue. To do so you will need to simply press and hold both the center and menu buttons for at least ten seconds or until the apple icon appears on the screen. If this does not resolve your issue please do let me know. Also in the future if the iPod seems to be frozen on the do not disconnect screen, shut down the computer and reset the iPod before disconnecting it. Improper disconnection can cause hardware corruption.
Try resetting the device by holding down the Menu button + center 'enter' button at the same time for about 10 seconds. The i pod should
then reboot and be back to normal.
My ipod nano won't play music just through my headphones- it also plays through speaker and it makes the music sound like you are in a tunnel. How do I turn off the external speaker?

-Turn the hold switch on and then off.
-Hold down the menu and middle button until the Apple logo appears, usually about 6 to 10 seconds.
-If that doesn?t work repeat the process and you should be good to go.
-If that didn?t work try plugging you Nano into your computer using the USB cable
