F23 fault my washing machine was interupted during a cycle now its flashing F23 and i cant open the door i tried turning it off at mains to no avail, please help, Donna

    I have F23 fault on my Siemens washing machine. No idea why. It was £700 and has been useless. Very poor washing and a very long wash cycle, the clothes still have soap in them when it finishes and I have rinse them all twice after the wash cyle. It's rubbish. Never getting Siemems again. Hope it's broken so I can get rid of it.

    Bottom right on front of machine. There is a red plastic strip in a little recess. Push it up. This releases the door on the Bosch logixx7. You have to dry out the base as well as f23 means that it has flooded

F23 that it indicates a leak into the base of the appliance.

You'll need to unplug the appliance and take the rear cover off.

Check for a spillage and if there is an anti flood device in the base, ensure it's reset/working or replace it.

Resetting the program may clear this error but unlikely.
  • Check the pressure switch or sensor for operation and electrically
  • Check the wiring from the main electronic control card to the level sensor
  • Check all connectors between the main controller and pressure switch
  • Run test program
  • Also see F08 and F12 as heater failure can cause this error to occur

PRESSURE SWTICH ERROR
The wash level and level heater safety are switched on at the same time F23
Possible Causes/Procedure
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check wire harness connections to pressure switch and Central Control Unit (CCU).
3. Check connections of the CCU board within the housing.
4. Check the pressure switch for worn or failed conditions .

I have a siemens WM14S794GB washing machine and F23 is flashing
F:23 means that your machine is leaking and should be repaired. This is often a bad seal and if you are competent or know a friend who is they can inspect the source of the leak for you. Needless to say you should make sure that you unplug your machine before attempting any repairs.
