SOURCE: media card

Hi,

If you inserted your sd card corectly, you should be able to save items to it as long as it is not a defective unit. Do the following:

1) From the Home Screen Menu, go to Settings, then Options, and scroll down to Media Card and choose it with the trackball.

2) From there you will see the Media Card configuration options which allow you to set the Media Card Support, as well as the Mass Storage Support option. Also, you will be able to confirm from this screen if the phone is recognizing the presence of your sd card. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Pics won't save to SD

It could just be a bad SD card. Trying another SD card is your best bet. If that doesn't work, it's probably just the microSD port. If you have insurance on your phone, you should be able to get a new phone, but be aware that it will probably be a refurb.

My Digital Camera Will Not Save My Pictures - The First Thing to Do

If your camera will not save the photos you take, the first thing to do is to make sure that the SD card, your camera's memory, is not locked. Open the memory access door on your camera and remove the SD card. On some cameras, the SD card is in the same compartment as the batteries. Check to see that the write protect tab on the SD card is in the unlocked position. Hold the card so that the label is facing you with the angled corner to the top right. Look along the left edge and find the very small slider switch. Slide the switch up (down is locked and up is unlocked) and replace the card in the camera. The locked position is provided as a safety feature so that you can prevent an SD card with important pictures from unintentionally being erased.

Cannot download anything, insufficient space on device

Hi Izabel Maritz, I want to help you with your question, just answer each of the following to the best of your knowledge and follow the solutions. 1 Smartphone or not. 2 Removable media inserted? (Micro SD card) 3 Does the Removable media device show unused space? First and most importantly if you know a Micro SD card is installed with sufficient space to save your downloads then your phone settings are set to save downloads to 'local storage' and has filled to it's max. Often you can fix this easiest by removing the card for a few seconds and re-inserting it whilst the phone not 'locked'. Most phones will prompt you asking if saves should now be made to the SD card or to leave it at 'local storage' If you answer yes to each of the above numbered questions, it is likely the browser you are using is set to download to the incorrect destination. Try Solution A below. If answers no to questions 2 or 3 of the above question skip to Solution B. (Solution A) To check this open your browser and look for the settings menu. From here it will depend on the browser you are using, but you want to look for an option related to the following. 'download location' 'file destination' 'save to external media' If you have no success or need help finding the setting for your browser please provide me with browser name. If it is the cell phone provider browser that comes default on the phone then I will need the make and model of the phone. (Solution B) If no Micro SD card is installed to your phone I would recommend buying one they are inexpensive and provide a large amount of space for things on your phone. The average phone whether it is smartphone or not does not have much 'local storage' Other solutions for B, 1 Freeing space in your local storage. This means deleting things saved to the phone itself. Music, Pictures, Ringtones, Video's, Applications could be filling the phones local storage. 2 Freeing space on your 'external media' device. This means deleting things from your 'Micro SD card' (Note. If you plug a phone smart or not into a PC or laptop usb port you may move things rather than delete them. I can assist further with that as well.

Memory full on SD card but still space left

FRIST, download the 83 pics u have and save them. your camera may be reading the internal memory. go to setup and change to sd card option. If that doesn't do it, and it's already looking at the SD card. Format the card. NOTE: see first line again!!!

Can photos be retrieved once the SD card has been formatted? i had selected the "protect option" & those photos still were deleted.

I had success with this
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download photo recovery software, recommended one is 001 picture recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.001-software.com/picture-recovery/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

I purchased songs and saved them on the SD memory card, but the songs have disappeared. When I try to re=download them, a message pops up saying that the catalog is out of date and can't be restored to...

First thing I would like you to do is download them to you console not to the sd card and then you can ushally move them over later as well.
ushally this will help refresh your sd card as well try that and then you should be able to get the downloads to work on the sd card again.

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial

I can't figure out how to download onto the sims card that is in the phone

You cant download stuff to your sim card. The only thing it is for is usually saving contacts. If you want to save stuff to your phone you need to buy a sd memory card.

I have a finepix A805 and it keeps saying that my images are being saved to Internal Memory but I have a SD card in my camera. My SD card is not locked why wont my camera read the card?

If you don't have anything stored on the SD card I recommend formatting it, otherwise it will not work with your camera.

Go on the camera's menu and look for a function called 'Format'. Do this and then see if the pictures will save on the SD card.

My daughters nintendo ds keeps coming up with sd.tf card error.have read about formatting the card but will i loose all the data and pre loaded games?have also read about downloading a kernal which i have...

If you reformat the SD card you will not lose any of the software that is on the system. None of that data is stored into the SD card. The only thing that you can save to the SD card are pictures and you can back up you downloaded games onto it. Any software you have downloaded or came on the system will be completely unaffected if you reformat the SD card. Thanks for using FixYa!

My sd card wont read. it says that its not initialized. i flipped the thing in the sd card but nothing changed. how do i get my card to work. it worked fine until i put the sd card in the printer over...

Had you ever initialized (formatted) the card, especially when you first got it? If not, an unformatted card will work fine initially, but almost always corrupts with time after many pictures are added. To prevent this issue permanently, you should always format a new card. But note formatting will erase the card! If you haven't saved your pictures yet, and you're having trouble locating them on the card with your computer, see this article. After you've recovered and saved your photos, format the card IN THE CAMERA using the camera format feature (look for it in its menus). This will rejuvenate the card, and prevent this from happening again.
