RCA F32650 WATCHING TV AND THE PICTURE WENT OUT BUT THE SOUND WAS STILL ON. TRIED CHANGING CHANNELS AND STILL NO PICTURE BUT SOUND WAS STILL THERE, AND SUDDENLY THE SOUND WENT OUT AND THE SET STARTED TO MUCH A LOUND BUZZING NOISE. I COULD NOT SHUT THE TV OFF WITH THE POWER BUTTON I HAD TO UNPLUG IT. WHAT IS THE POSSIBLE PROBLEM?

I would start by obviously checking all connections on the back of the tv. Sounds like maybe your Yellow RCA cable might have creeped out. Red and White RCAs are typically for sound and Yellow is for Video. Hope this helps

Well, no sound no picture = power supply unit
Sound no picture= flyback
picture no sound =tuner/audio logic

You get my drift?

You power supply is bad you replace it you got another new TV, with this digital conversion hitting I would rather advise you to get a nice flat panel and donate that one to Goodwill

do an anolog and digital channel scan see if that helps also unplug from wall and plug back in to reset see if that helps

Problem is common to RCA models. The issue is bad solder joints in the tuner area. Resolder the entire tuner section of the board and the problem will be resolved. No parts are necessary.

I think that something has gone wrong on the power supply board. If you can check this for yourself otherwise find a competant technician. Hope this helps.

i tried unplugging mine when the picture went out. i left it unplugged for about 10 to 15 minutes. still no picture

Adjust the two settings on the back of the flyback with a phillips screwdriver...

Bad IHVT ( transformer) part # 257805 or ASTI 2078.......T.

1)pull chassis-solder any/all bad connects. 2)Replace shorted horiz o/p xistor #237470 and IHVT #257805 or Asti 2078

if you are having sound your problem is on the video circuit or related circuit.if no sound on video no power have your tech check the power supply and related circuit.good luck.
