Navy Seal Luminox watch second hand problem

a mechanical part needs replacing, unless your have some form of funky split time running? replacing the battery should have reset it though.

Sorry Robert but it is likely you will have to accept and get used to it. The movement's seconds hand is just not calibrated to the exactness the dial is printed in. Notice as your hand moves it sometimes lands on a marker and gradually stops lining up and then as it reaches another part of the dial it will start lining up again. However it never is consistent as to what markers it lines up with. Lots going on behind the scenes (in your movement) that is inherent in battery powered movements.

If any battery operated watch starts losing time or displaying the incorrect time, this is usually indicative of a battery going bad and needing replacement. My Luminox 3100 started lagging in time and I noticed that the second hand would intermittently stop. I also have a Suunto Vector (Digital) wrist-top computer and the times along with the compass, altimeter, light and alarms all started to act crazy and all it happened to be was the battery being run down. Coincidentally the Suunto has a battery gage that only appears and flashes during low battery charge.
BL: Try the simplest thing first, change your battery. Please be very careful not to break the O-ring on any watch that's waterproof/resistant as this will render the protection useless. Also if your watch is still under a manufacturer or vendor's additional warranty, get them to change it as not to void your warranty. 'Hope this helps!

It may be that the battery is running low. Have you had the watch for some time?

(Other watches use a similar behaviour to indicate low battery).

If you second hand is ticking in stutter steps, in other words it hesitates 2-3 seconds then quickly steps forward, and your watch is still keeping correct time that is an EOL (end of life) feature...your cell has become very low and it's the watchs way of telling you to replace the battery. Sometimes ticking like how you described is a sign of low cell, bad circuit board or dirty gears...or any combination of these..also in this style Luminox sometimes the second hand is a bit long and will catch or rub on the traser ring causing it to slow down, stutter or stop all together...you should take it to a reputable jeweler and have them diagnose it...good luck :)

there's really no way to adjust this problem...unless the watch has been severly jarred or damaged in some way it is most likely just a low or dead battery..if it has been damaged only a watchmaker would be able to replace the faulty gears or parts

thaqt is an EOL problem...basically telling you the cell is very low

I was shopping for one in Thailand and it was a GE 371. I did not replace it because they only carried the cheap china battery's.
