I went to turn the projector on, and it started but no image. I thought it was the bulb, so I bought a new bulb. Changed the bulb and again, no image. I opened the projector to see if there was a fuse problem, but the projector starts fine and I see the color wheel turning on and off. I have a red light blinking all the time.
Check the wireing in the new bulb . My new one had the wires in the wrong holes like if there are 4 slots in the connector then my orignal was in slots 1 and 4 the new one was in slots 1 and 3 so I took the wire out and put it in the #4 slot and put it in and unpluged the machine and did a reset and restart and it came on green. Hope this helps.
Did you reset the hours on your system once you inserted a new light bulb? Otherwise the pj might be a bit confused if you do not reset that with each bulb. The suggested life expectancy for the lamps is around 3000-6000hrs for a DLP lamp pj.
Have you also cleaned out the filter? It is a GREAT idea to do that every year otherwise it could potentially over heat. Most of the time you can have some one come out, bring it to a service center, or ship it to the manufacturer to be cleaned, then they mail it back to you.
Let me know how things go. You can always contact the manufacturer to direct you on how to reset the hours. They do offer a life time support.
Best of luck!!

How can I reset the hours if the projector lamp does not turn on?
I bought an (In Focus 4508 -Replacement Lamp), and replaced the old one. But, the Projector is NOT projecting any "Light" from it's lense at all. And, I thought it was the Lamp, so I got that replaced. But, that did not help either.
Their is a Green light that blinks once every 2 sec's and then it blinks Red every 2 sec's or so.
Lastly, when I get close to the projector to listen, I hear a ver faint "Clunking" sound. It sounds like when a Motor is trying to Turn, but it's stuck, so it makes that Clunking sound.
*Please help me figure this out, because it's driving me crazy.
Thank you in advance for your great wisdom and help regarding my problem.
Sincerely,
~David
