I created a Skype account and now i have no idea how to delete it .

Unlike some other programs, Skype does not allow you to actually delete your account.
This means you will still show up if and when others search for you or try to add you as a contact.
You can, however, delete your Skype account from your PC.
Doing so removes the account in question from the list of options available when you sign into Skype.
Log out of Skype and quit the program entirely.
Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your screen, then type "run" (without quotes) into the "Search programs and files" field that appears.
Click the Run option under Programs in the list of results.
This opens a new window.

Enter the term "%appdata%\skype" into the new window. Do not include the quotation marks.
Click "OK." This opens another new window.

Locate the folder that has the same name as the account you wish to delete in the list that appears in this new window.
Right-click this folder, then click "Delete" in the list of options that appears.
Click "Yes" in the window that pops up to ask if you are sure you wish to delete the folder.
You have now successfully deleted the Skype account from your PC.

I need yahoo messenger vioce and video call setup on my dell 3521

If you own a web camera or if your Dell computer comes with a built-in web camera, you can complete a video conference on your computer.
There are a variety of free chat programs that provide free video messaging such as Skype, Yahoo Messenger or Google Chat.
With these programs, all you will need to do a video conference is add the person you wish to conference with to your buddy list.

Download and install a messaging software program such as Skype, Yahoo or Google Chat if you do not already have one installed on your Dell computer.
No matter which messaging program you use, the video call or conferencing feature works the same.
Launch the messaging software on your Dell computer.
Click on your buddy list or contact list.

Click on the contact with whom you'd like to video conference.
If he isn't one of your contacts, you will need to add him to your messenger contact list by clicking on "New" and then "New Contact."

Click on the contact name and select "Video Call."
You will now have a video conference call on your Dell computer.

On Skype How to Remove Contacts

The following was taken from: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA421/how-do-i-organize-my-contacts-in-skype-for-windows-desktop#Remove

Removing a contact

When you remove someone from your contact list, you'll always appear offline to each other but you'll still be able to contact each other. To stop someone from contacting you, you'll need to block them.
To remove a contact from your contact list:
  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. In your contact list, find the contact you want to remove. Right-click the contact name and select Remove from Contacts. Then confirm by clicking Remove.
  3. The contact is removed from your contact list but will still appear in the Recent tab with a question mark. Click the contact name to see the options in the main window: Add to Contacts, Ignore or Block.

I want to use Skype IM but all I can get is a stupid ad for selling me phone time.

Hello,

if you are probably trying to cal your friends out of skype, so you need skype credit to call outside. Just in case you add your friends(who are on skype too) to skype, you can call for free.

You can add contact following these steps:

In the menu bar, click Contacts > Add a Contact.
fa3281e.png
Enter the Email, Phone number, Full name or skype name(if you already know your friend's name on skype) of the person you want to add. If the Skype account of the person you wish to add is displayed, click Add below the contact.
fa3281g.png
If more than one Skype account matches your search:
Click View for a list of matching Skype accounts and click Add contact next to the one you wish to add. Before the contact can be added, you must send a contact request to that person. Enter some text to introduce yourself and click Send request. The contact will be added to your contact list, but will appear offline until they accept your request. Once the person agrees to your request, they will be added to your Contact list. Then you can make free calls and free video calls to that person.

Hope this helps,
Lucas

I can sign onto skyp, but none of my friends appear on, however, I called my friend and he was on skype and he can see other people, yet I cannot see anyone. What should I do?

Search your email contacts to see who's on Skype:

Click the Directory tab and click the link See friends who are already on Skype.
You'll see an Add contacts screen.
friends_on_skype.png

Under Check your email contacts, click in the checkbox(es) beside the email accounts you have.
If you have a Yahoo account, type in your username and password then click Search email contacts.
Skype uses your Yahoo login to check if your contacts are on Skype - it never saves it, ever.
email_contacts.png

Wait for Skype to search your contacts.
If Skype finds a match, it will list the friends who also use Skype.

Click in the checkbox beside the people you want to talk to on Skype.
Then click Add contact.

Write an introduction message so they know who you are.
Click OK to send. Depending on their security, you can IM them. When they accept your invitation, you will be able to see when they are online and call them, too.
Add a specific person:

Click the Directory tab and go to Find people.

Click in the box and type in their name, email address or Skype Name.
Click Search. Wait for Skype to search.

In the list, find the person you're looking for. Check details like location and click this icon info_16x16_white.png to double check it's them.
Click on them, then click Add contact. This will open a Say hello window.

Click in the message box and type an introduction message so they know who you are.
Click OK to send. When they accept your invitation, you will be able to see when they are online and call them, too.
Add a phone or mobile number:

Click New and choose New Contact.
new_button.png

Find the link Save a phone number in your contact list.
Click on it. This opens an Add a contact window.
add_phonenr_as_contact.png

In this window, enter the person's name, select Home, Office, Mobile or the other options from the dropdown list, then click on the flag to choose the country they are in.
Click in the box beside the flag and type in the phone number.

Check it. If it's correct, click Save phone number.
This saves the number in your Contact list.

Hi,

To help resolve some common connection issues on Windows Vista, please
follow these steps:

1) Please make sure, that you are running the latest version of Skype

This is a regular Vista idiocy, occurring from time to time to random applications and has nothing to do with Skype. Thanks, Mr. Gates.

How to fix it:

1. Go to your Skype program directory, then navigate to the subdirectory Phone.
2. Right-click the Skype executable, select Properties.
3. Go to Compatibility tab.
4. Select compatibility mode, and choose Run this program in compatibility mode - Windows XP Service Pack 2.
