Turntable belt the belt just needs to be put back on. I tried to do it over and over but I just couldn't do it. Can you help me please?

thank you for trying to help but I couldn't see where the belt actually attached to and what its attached to. I can see its attached to a spindle that spins as soon as I plug in the M/C but what else its attached to I don't know. Maybe you can explain to me in words of an e-mail instead of a diagram. I will be very grateful. Thank you.

I need a diagram showing how to re-install the belt, since I removed it completely. Does it go around the main gear? This is also for the aiwa PX-E860U (same unit).

Belt will put on motor pulley and its indicated in Blue color vertical line in below picture.
You can locate Motor easily as indicated here. Belt is assumed as Red color line.
I can understand if this unit is in front of me, but now I have to assume the problem based on info from you. Can you post pictures pointing what exactly problem is?

To replace a drive belt.
1, Remove the rubber platter mat to expose the platter.
2. Put your thumb and forefinger through the two round holes and lift the platter off. You may need to give the centre spindle a light tap (whilst applying upward pressure) with a screwdriver handle or some similar tool that will not leave any marks or damage.
3. Remove the old belt and wipe the platter pulley and motor pulley with an alcohol swab to remove any old belt residue.
4. Place the new belt around the platter pulley making sure t is sitting flat without any twists.
5. Flip platter over the right way up. There are1or 2 larger rectangle shaped cut outs in the platter.
6. Through the cut out pinch up the belt and slip a finger or belt hook between the platter pulley and the belt gripping the belt ready to fit over the motor pulley.
7. Align the centre hole of the platter with the spindle and place platter back into position keeping a grip on the belt.
8. Slip belt over motor pulley and give the platter a light clockwise rotation to ensure the belt is riding correctly.
9. Replace the rubber mat and then run the turntable to ensure correct operation.

Turntable belt is off.

Under the felt of the turning platter section, there should be two rather large holes. Insert your thumb and forefinger and pull the table off. You should also see where the existing belt is running. Insert new belt around the motor first and replace the table section. Now, through the two holes, manouver the belt onto the table section until it spins freely

The belt fell of the gears on my turntable.

Hi dont know the model but normally like so:
Take the platter of the turntable, it should just lift of, but there could be a circlip in the middle that needs to come off first. Just lift the mat first.

Place the belt back onto the platter first, should see where it goes, then put the platter back on. There are holes in the paltter which you can then grab the belt and pull it over the motor spindle.

Hope that helps

Kenwood p-t400 turntable, how do i put the belt back on?

If the belt came off, it needs to be replaced. They stretch over time and wear out. Plus, your not supposed to put your fingers directly on the belts since the oil from your fingers will deteriorate the rubber quickly! sounds crazy, but true. If you have a local repair shop, generally old and dirty! Those guys are usually the best and will give you a fair price for the belt and install it for you while you wait. If your not a techno person, let a techno person fix it before you try it. If they let you watch, then you will have learned how to do it yourself the correct way and save some $ on the next one! Best of luck! Hope this helps

Optimus 1000 belt drive automatic turntable

Usually, for most turntables, the belt goes on the bottom of the platter first. Then you put the platter back on the turntable. From here you should see an opening on the platter where you can 'grab' the belt. Pinch the belt, and then wrap it around the rotating motor's shaft. This is usually at the top left side - around the 10 o'clock position.

Record player belt

Scott, the belt wraps around the bottom of the turntable platter, then put the platter back on your turntable, and you'll have to pinch back a section of the belt and wrap around the brass motor spindle. That's pretty much it!

Good luck.

How to replace belt in jvc turntable

I just got a JVC turntable from a thrift shop today and as soon as I got it home the belt broke. I had a replacement but couldn't figure out how to install it. After taking off the back, which is about 4 screws plus the 4 feet and the grounding screw, I saw a very tiny set screw on the post where the spindle obviously is. I removed this and the table came right off so I could replace the belt. I couldn't get the tiny set screw back but figured I didn't need it and if I ever have to replace another belt, I won't have to take the back off anyway. I hope this helps.

Belt came off

Remove the rubber mat and you will see two holes in the turntable. Put your fingers in these holes & using equal force pull up to release the turntable. The drive belt goes around the metal disk you will see below and around the drive pulley. Most likely it has just jumped off the pulley so hook it back over. Replace the turntable and gently rotate it a couple of revolutions, you can see the belt through the holes in the turntable. If all is seated OK power up & enjoy! You can download the manual from the link below: http://usa.denon.com/DP29F_DFU_ownersmanual.pdf This shows the procedure as per original install.
