Communication error?! I just purchased this video camera. I bought the battery and charger sperately. I charged the battery fully, put it on the camera, and I get a message on the screen telling me there is a communication error. Above that message, there is a picture of the video camera, and an error pointing to an empty battery. What could the problem be? Thanks

Nope, I didnt buy the original battery and charger. I bought them on Ebay from Hong Kong! I'll go tomorrow and get the original battery from Best Buy.

    Thanks!

If this solution works, I'll rate it! :)

I'm betting you bought an aftermarket battery and not an original JVC battery. The error message you are getting is caused by the camcorder not being able to read the charge sensor in the battery. Some of the aftermarket batteries neglect to put that sensor in the battery, or have a sensor which does not match the OEM sensor in a factory battery. Try an original JVC battery. Is this solution answered your question bu sure to rate it. Thanks!

I just bought some nyko duel charger batteries with a charger the battries have chared for days and wont charge past 2 bars whats goin on with them how do i fully charge them

This sounds like an issue with the batteries themselves. If they are brand new i would suggest possibly taking them back to the store you got them. If they are past the return time frame then look into the manufacturer warranty.

Fujifilm battery fully charged but camera says no charge or very little. Just bought a new Duracell Battery and Charger for my Fuji FinePix J10 Camera. Used the charge on the battery in the camera from...

Well you mentioned that it worked fine yesterday with the battery out of the box. That should tell you that the camera and the battery are both fine. The issue is likely the charger itself. Try recharging it again, and double check that you inserted the batteries correctly, and that any switches (such as for 2 or 4 battery charge) are set in the correct position on the charger. If this doesn't work, take the charger back to the store for exchange/refund as defective.

Last year I bought my mom a digital camera for christmas. It worked great for about 2-3 months. Since then it is speratic, it will turn on let you take a couple of pictures then shuts down all by itsels....

Hi! Most digital cameras require outrageous amounts of power to work properly. Be sure to use only high quality, hi power ni-mh rechargeable batteries. Check for Sanyo Eneloop or Duracell. Sometimes we think the camera is broken, but in most cases is only insufficient amout of power. If you can't find the before mentioned batteries, look for 2500mA NI-MH type rechargeable batteries and a proper charger. Good luck!

Sony DCR-VX1000E batteries

Li-Ion batteries cannot be charged efficiently with power supplies or NiCad chargers, they need a pulse charger dedicated to Li-Ion batteries. Also, there is a danger in charging with other sources as Li-Ion batts. will catch fire or explode if not charged properly. Please get a charger that is made for those batteries

Wont turn on

Are you sure that your batteries were fully charged? I have the same issue when using shop bought aa batteries - or they don't last very long at all.

That 3 beeps and turning off is what should happen along with a "battery low" error message on the screen from experience.

When I bought the recommended charger and two batteries from Amazon - they lasted a lot longer. Search the website for the charger battery code suggested in the instructions.
