Hi,
My blower just quit blowing, right in the middle of being used. It did not seem to have any stress. It is about 2 years old. Is a good tool and I would like to get it fixed. Any idea what might be the problem?
Thanks for your info.

This is do it yourself help. Just what safety measures you might be using in assembly, disassembly, and testing is something to review. Do not expose yourself to possible injury from some ejected part or electrical short during any testing. Don't risk an eye or finger fixing something which might be accidentally activated during the fix.

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:
You
will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray
with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen is free of debris.
(Should be able to see daylight through it.) Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),
to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can
become blocked. Reassemble and start.
Just let me know if you need further assistance.

Sounds like a piece of wood is caught under/between the impellor and the case/housing. When removing the impellor, you may find it has a left hand threaded nut.

I have the Toro 51591 model. Yesterday, mine did the same as yours. I opened up the case and found that a small cylinder had broken off of the switch. So it could be that your switch is the problem. I have been unable so far to find a replacement anywhere.
You should consider using your warranty.
Testimonial: "Thanks. I checked the manual first though and read that the impeller cover if not properly closed will not allow it to turn on. That worked. Thanks"

funny, the exact thing happened to me today in Atlanta. I have an electric Toro 215 mph, had it for about the same time too.
Always worked great before. Blew real well for about 15 minutes today then stopped cold!
