Question about Canon ZR70MC Mini DV Digital Camcorder
When I first open the cassette holder, one of the tape heads spins extremely fast while the other one stays completely still and the cassette holder opens and gives out about five beeps. Then when I try to put a dv tape in, one of the tape heads spins extremely fast again and the tape is ejected immediately. Another five beeps are given out and it says remove the cassette on the LCD. But when I dont put any DV tape in, the cassette holder has no problem closing.
I have the zr850 which I have used less than a dozen times, and it does the same thing as you describe. Was told by canon tech people to try a maxell brand tape and a head cleaner tape. Have not tried their sugestion yet. camera is 3 months old.
