Dubbing does the media transfer automatically, not by playback and record. you select vcr to dvd then do dubbing. Please read the manual. and try all the controls.

I did everything the manual told me to do for dubbing from VHS to DVD. I am trying to copy home videos to DVD. Nothing recorded...it was totally black when I played it back. HELP!
Try to play tape and see if it works. Then try to record DVD from TV program, and see if it works. Then you know your combo may have to be fixed.

U play another movie like a Hollywood movie DVD disc play on it have no squealing noises wright?Yes,than the blank DVD discs batch u have is bad.Tries buy another batch DVD blank discs,tries recording again should solved this problems.

Ofcourse you need an external tuner to receive any RF signals. Your Magnavox is not equipped with internal tuner with it. OK.
