Aspire 5100 Getting an error saying IRQ not less than or equal to when my aspire 5100 crashes and bisoncam is mentioned as being the problem

    Many thanks, This was a problem i had also before i upgraded the Ram to 2 gig, But did reset to factory defaults in the bios so this may well help. Personally i think it could be an issue with sata controllers and the ATI chipset.

Has memory been added to this laptop recently or any changes been made?

the irq error/bluescreen is mainly due hardware issue and most of the time in my experience, memory.

Re-seat your Ram, go into the bios and reset all back to factory defaults. Unplug all devices, as well.

The Blue Screen Error IRQ Driver not less or equal is a memory problem. Basic things you can do is reseat the memory. However, I highly suggest to contact Dell and have them guide you in doing a Memory Diagnostics. They should replace it if its faulty.

You have a n IRQ conflict meaning you have a device that is trying to use an IRQ slot that its not meant to talk on. From the looks of it you have been in the bios already so go back in and set it to factory default.

so ..my advise is to reinstall the windows xp ...cause this machine it was on xp from the first ...and this might be just the reason ..those are the drivers for it
also ...you can download Everest software ...and locate the exact name of the wifi platform ..and look after that for a vista driver for it by its name ......this way you cant be wrong ...cause you locate the suitable driver ...not the ones they feed us in packages...

Hard drive has bad sectors and or has crashed...usually.

I'd recommend removing the hard drive and hooking it up to another machine via usb, especially if you have any important files that need to be saved.

I have an Acer Aspire 5100. Right now I have error code 0X490 &0X2. How do I fix this problem after my laptop crashed. I can not find my startup disc.
this is a graphic card driver issue

memory hex errors, memory double word logic failure at [ hex value], read [hex value],expecting [hex value]..
hexadecimal, may be a bad memory address,

memory line parity error at [hex value]

Computer crashed and will not restore.
if u tried installing windows from a CD onto the HDD and it still says missing ntldr. seems like a Bad hard-drive.

you can restart by pressing control-alt-delete.

then, try booting from windows CD and repairing the windows installation. if it gives u file copy errors.then, it is a HDD failure. get a new HDD.
