After inserting a DVD into the recorder it does not matter whether it is a bought disc or a recorded disc, the message comes up in the display NO DISC.
Dirty lens, faulty laser diode, dirty shaft moving lens.
How to fix the "No disc" message and let the player play your disc successfully?
You can try these:
1. Before you try anything to examine or fix your DVD player, it's suggested that you make sure the disc you are trying to play is intact and well.
2. If you are sure that there is something wrong with your player, you can press the "Eject" or "Open" button on the DVD player to disc tray to determine if it opens easily and does not appear jammed or hindered. If the disc tray appears to open slower than usual or fails to open, the disc may not sit flush in the tray or otherwise be seated properly.
3. Most of the DVD "No disc" problems are caused by the glitch of DVD laser lens.
It may be dust built up and you have to get a DVD insert that's made especially for cleaning the inside of the player
