I was taking a video and all of the sudden "Lens Error" popped up and it just turned off but the lens did not go in. now when i turn it on it says Lens Error and turns off but the lens stays out. Anyone have a way to fix it?

Exact same problem. I finally got the lens to go in and sometimes it will turn on but the focus when zooming is horrible. Then occasionally it say lens error and turn off again.

I have a casio exilim ex-z80 and when I try to turn my camera on,the lens come out half way then go back in and the lens error come on and the camera shut off.I charged up the baterry and that didn't help.The camera is only 7 month old and I bought it in walmart in new york,but I live in Canada and the warrenty is only valid in the Country you bought it from.I'm really starting to buy electronics that don't last more than a year and you have to buy another one.So if anybody can help me it would be more than appreciated.
