Hi there,

I have a Mitsubishi HDTV 1080 and when I tried to turn it on the tv this morning it wouldn't turn on and the power light is flashing green. I pushed in the reset button but it just keeps flashing and still won't turn on.

You might want to have the power transformer checked to make sure its working correctly.sometimes when they go bad all you get is the flashing light

SOURCE: I have a Mitsubishi HDTV 1080, model #WS-55511 and the green power light is blinking on and off. We've used the paperclip to reset the machine and it doesn't work, and we've unplugged the power supply

replace the capacitors on the DM board. Heres a link to the repair kit which contains the replacement capacitors and instrucions of how to do the repair.

SOURCE: flashing green light

I had the same problem due to power surge.Repairman came and said power board replacement might fix--$300 parts and labor, but if DM module is damaged, another $600-700. My set is 5 yrs. old. I'm shopping for a new LCD.

SOURCE: green light flashes on my 65 mitsubishi 1080

You need to replace 4 capacitors on the "DM" board. They are 1000uf and 16v. The board is located under a metal shield on the left side of the set (looking from the rear).

Fisrt try resoldering your Boards then Ck pico fuses they are green or yellow look like resistors but are fuses 5amps or 6amps also you may need to replace Both of your STK ICs they are Big Black ICs will have Part number on them example STK392-570 Call Mats For these 1-800-628-1118 Go by number on your STKs

SOURCE: Lost power last night, now

Not very much - when the power was lost a power spike happened and this spike has fried some components from the power board: the blinking light signals that the protection system of the source has detected an overload on one of the outputs and has shut it down to protect it and the rest of the tv The only way to fix that is to open the tv and test the components. This is a job for someone who has done this before and has at least a basic understanding of electronics. If you're not such a person then it's time to call one, no way around that.

Yesterday we had a power outage. When the power came back on, my TV would not work. The green light on the front just keeps flashing quickly. I tried unplugging it, and I unhooked all devices from it as...

Thats caused by weak capacitors on the DM board. They drain when the power is lost then they cant recharge after power is restired. You can get the dm repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com it contains the repair instructions and the upgraded caps plus other service info on the cd

Mitsubishi hdtv1080 won't turn on. green timer light flashing

could be a lot of things really. when you replace the bulb, there is a switch that will prevent the tv from turning on if the cover isn't sitting correctly, by moving it that might have shifted so it would blink, but not turn on. if not, well get it serviced, sorry
