I need to know if there is a way to access the menu on the T.V. without a remote. And if there is how? The problem that I am having is that I need to reprogram what channels it will go to by pushing the channel up button, so that I can get in channels here in west michigan. But, I do not have a remote. Is there a way to access the menu?
YES YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE CHANNEL UP AND VOLUME UP TOGETHER OR THE CHANNEL DOWN AND VOLUME TOGETHER.THEN THE MENU WILL APPEAR AND DO WHAT YOU WANT TO AFTER,GOOD LUCK
I have an Insignia (Best Buy brand) TV and you can access the menu without the remote. You can do it two different ways, but the easiest is to just hold all 4 buttons down (channel and volume buttons) at the same time for about 3 seconds. The menu will then pup up. You can navigate by using both the channel and volume buttons and for some selections you have to hold both up and down buttons at the same time. It is a VERY sloppy way of navigating and is VERY annoying but it is better than nothing. They could have made it 100 times easier by including a "Menu" and a "Select" button along with the other buttons on the front panel.
Remember, press and hold.
What works for my tv is pressing all four buttons (vol up, vol dwn, ch up, ch dwn) all at the same time.
That didn't work for me, any other ideas out there?
Sorry, there is no access to the menu on this unit without the remote.

i have the exact sam problem and my universal dvd remote won't even make the menu popup!
When I try to go to channel 3 it is not there. I don't even know if that is the channel required to play my ps2 and x-box, but the channel I need is not available.
